This is the announcement post for the 14-Day Gratitude Challenge held in Aug 2013, where we practice gratitude for 14 days. The challenge is now over but you can do the tasks in your own time. Visit the overview page for all the challenge tasks.

Gratitude challenge

Do you practise gratitude in your life?

Do you love giving gratitude to others?

Would you like to cultivate the habit of gratitude?

If you answered yes to any of the questions, then the upcoming 14-day Gratitude Challenge is just for you!

Introducing: 14-Day Gratitude Challenge!

Come 15 Aug, I’ll be conducting a 14-day gratitude challenge, where participants from around the world will practice gratitude for 14 days till the end of the month (28 Aug, to be precise). Every day, I will post a task of gratitude which you have to complete within the day itself. The task can range from giving thanks to your food, to transforming an ungrateful thought, to showing your appreciation to someone.

At the end of the day, you are to report back to the site to share your results for the day itself and to join other participants in their discussions.

The challenge will end on 28 Aug, where you reflect on your journey of gratitude in the past 14 days as well as create your plan on how to continue practise gratitude moving forward.

This will be an extremely simple yet exciting challenge which will permanently impact your life as well as others’ lives around you. Given that it’s been almost eight months since I ran any challenge (the last one was the 2013 Countdown Challenge), I can’t wait to start this with all of you! :D

Blog About Your 14-Day Gratitude Journey!

For those of you who run a blog, I encourage you to blog about your experience with the the challenge! Share about the challenge with your readers, then write about your experience with each task starting from Day 1. This will add a layer of accountability for yourself, and also let you serve as an inspirational example to your own readers as they see your results from performing each act of gratitude!

Proceed to Day 0’s task!

After you have signed up, proceed to Day 0’s task on creating your gratitude journal! Tons of participants have shared pictures of their AMAZING gratitude journals already!

Love you guys, and look forward to seeing your updates! :D

Update Aug 29, ’13: The gratitude challenge is now over but you are more than welcome to do the tasks in your own time. :D Visit the overview page for all Gratitude Challenge tasks and posts!

  13. Hi Celes! I’m very excited to take this first challenge with you! I’ve been an ardent follower of your posts etc., for a couple months now and must say I’ve become more introspective and hopeful towards every aspect of my life. PE is like my go-to guide for some of my biggest internal questions. I’m normally a very giving person, but I know gratitude encompasses more than that…i’m very willing to see what these 14 days have in store for me!

  25. Hi Celes, I’d love to join the challenge :) Not sure how active I’ll be able to be, as I’m very busy at the moment, but I’d love to hop on board again! Your challenges have meant a lot to me since I first discovered them and have always been a source of personal growth, so I’ll try my best to keep up again this time :) Thank you for creating such great experiences and your blog followers are such an inspiring, uplifting group of people!

Haha, speaking of blogs, I’m actually currently busy designing blog templates, I recently started selling them over at my Etsy shop… (http://www.etsy.com/shop/Mindflight) I’m also available for custom blog design if anyone’s interested? :)

I do have a blog, I’m still kinda working on finding my blogging-mojo though… Maybe if all goes well I can share my gratitude posts there… (http://www.mindflight.me)
