This is Day 3 of the 21-Day Journaling Challenge held in Nov 2011. The challenge is now over but you can do the tasks in your own time. Visit the overview page for all the challenge tasks.
Hi everyone – Welcome to Day 3 of 21DJC! :)
Yesterday’s question was this: “If you are to do something for free for the rest of your life, what would it be?“. (Read the responses here.) Some of you said you’d want to travel around the world and explore new places. Some of you said you’d want to grow and learn forever. Some of you said you’d want to pursue your passions, which may include writing, cooking, baking, blogging, developing games, motorcycling, write music, planting, fashion, recording music, coaching, caring for animals, and more. Some of you said you’d want to help others – be it to grow, to discover themselves, to be better people, or to live better lives.
3 years ago, I asked myself this very question. If I am to do something for free for the rest of my *life*, what would it be? The answer that came out is exactly what you see me doing today. It’s to grow and help others to grow. It’s to be spreading my message to the world, be it via writing, coaching, speaking, running courses, videos, or other mediums. (Essentially, what I’m doing now.) It’s to inspire others to become greater than who they are now, so they can in turn inspire others around them to be the same.
The reason why I asked myself the question is this – We only have one life to live. We have the ability in us to do whatever we want, and to succeed in whatever we want. Instead of wasting our talents doing something that we don’t even have the passion to do forever, why not spend all that energy, starting from today, in something we’re really, truly, 110% passionate about? Why not devote ourselves 110% into what we really want to do, rather than do something because we think we ‘have’ to, and do a half-assed job in it? Why not do that, and make that your career instead?
I mean, no matter how “skilled” or “unskilled” you are in it now, you only have, like, the rest of your life to develop your skills in it. It’s only a matter of time before you’re the best in that field, really. (10,000 hours is all that it takes)
In doing so, it doesn’t even feel like work. It doesn’t even require any energy to do it. It’s virtually effortless. I made that shift 3 years ago, and while there were a few months of down time to develop myself in a new field, today I’m soaking in the long-term rewards from the move. It’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made in my life, and I want you to experience the joy too.
The articles in my How To Pursue Your Passion series will help you in this area.
Let’s now move on to the question for Day 3 of 21DJC! ;)
21DJC Day 3
For Day 3 today, we’re going to explore a slightly different topic from Days 1 and 2. In Day 1, we looked at what we would do if we have a million dollars. In Day 2, we delved into some of our deepest, life long passions – things we would do for free for the rest of our life. For Day 3, we’re going to look at something lifestyle-related.
The question for Day 3 is this:
What is Your Ideal Diet Like?
Would it consist of happy meals, deep fried food and junk food? Would it be prepacked, micro-waved meals from the supermarkets? Would it be laden with fat? Would it be filled with meat? Would it be rich with vegetables and fruits? Would it be specially prepared, home cooked meals made by you, for you? What would your ideal breakfast, lunch, dinner be like? How much, how often, and when would you eat every day? What would your cue to eat?
Your Task Today:
- Reflect and answer today’s question. There’s no word limit – whether minimum or maximum. Write as few or as many words as you want. It’s all up to what you want to express!
- Share your answer. After you are done writing, copy and paste your answer in the comments area and post it there.
- Check out other participants’ answers. Other participants will be sharing their answers too, so feel free to read and reply to their answers. This is a group course, so let’s support each other in these 21 days.

My ideal diet would have to factor in my adventurous nature in trying new foods. I’m also studying into the food-nature relationship reading books from authors such as Michael Pollan and understanding how the food gets from the source to our plates. This would probably lead me to trying to be a locavore and eating not specifically organic, but at least non-chemical/non-preservative based foods.
I would try vegetarian/vegan, but only if I could figure out how to create a wide array of tastes with fresh ingredients. As someone who loves to cook, I find cooking with just vegetables (or just eating raw vegetables) is difficult to create satisfying or appetizing flavours.
If I had the resources available, I would love to have a dietician work with a personal chef to create a personal meal plan for a diet that would be balanced being nutritious, delicious, healthy, and scrumptious.
I don’t think I would cut anything from my diet, or if I did, I’d hope I could find some type of alternate option that would taste just as good (or better, obviously).
Pretty much what I eat now. Fish, veggies and fruits. And the occasional Five Guys burger and glass of wine!
Day 3: Ideal Diet.
If I ate like this or close 50% of the time that would be great! I am a great eater! I love foods from all around the world, but I am picky about quality.
Breakfast: Greek Yogurt w/honey or Oatmeal with brown sugar, craisins, etc. Fruit.
Lunch: Soup or salad.
Snack: High quality dark chocolate and/or cheese (small quantity)
Dinner: Something prepared like a veggie and a protein with rice/pasta. Salmon as often as possible. Other meat only occasionally. I also love sandwiches!
Dessert: Ice cream.
This is my ideal. I do not currently eat like this but maybe 30% of the time. Ideally all would be organic and farmed/processed in an environmentally sound manner. :)
For dinner – it would preferably be prepared for us since I do not make time to cook in this way, nor am I particularly good at it. However, I would not want to go to a restaurant every night.
In addition, I would not add snacks or meals for emotional support. An occasional splurge for celebratory purposes is fabulous. But to splurge due to stress or some other emotional discomfort is never as rewarding for me as it seems in the moment. I would also try to limit eating in non-eating places – like the car or in front of the TV. :)
My ideal diet? Food is already a major fulcrum of my life. When I eat, I want to experience the Earth. Eating is ideally a rather sensual experience. Food is part of my spiritual outlook: the magic of life becomes vivid in the syrupy flesh of a tree-ripened peach, the earthy crispness of carrots and radishes, the mystifying aromas of fresh basil and dill, in the cool creaminess of yogurt, the rich sustenance of oven-roasted chicken and wood-smoked pork. We create our own magic in the kitchen, beating eggs into fluffy white clouds to add lightness to waffles and souffles, transforming animal milk into cheese, whizzing herbs and vegetables into aromatic pestos and sauces, kneading yeasted dough to make soft and chewy loaves.
But the food itself is only one piece of my ideal diet. I want to touch as much of the entire nourishment process as possible. I want to understand a piece of land, plan how to use it, sow the seeds and tend the beds, defend them from pests, harvest and share the bounty, prepare simple and nourishing meals, experiment and discover relationships I didn’t see before, compost the waste, and feed it back into the land.
My ideal diet is a network of inter-related systems. In the garden, the plants and animals live in layers and cycles of energetic exchange; in the community, friends trade homegrown goods, labor, and knowledge, for nobody can create a rich and nourishing diet alone; in the kitchen, I orchestrate the timing and quantity of various cooking processes- soaking and sprouting grains, culturing dairy, preserving excess produce, creatively using leftovers.
My ideal diet is a complex web of energetic processes. It takes a lot of work, but hopefully is full of joy, awareness, and appreciation, just like life itself.
My ideal diet would be the holistic approach the mind, body and soul. Detox and energy increasing that wll allow me to improve the quality of my life. This is so far from my diet now, that as I am slowly making the transition is difficult since I need to have new habits and break old patterns of looking at food.
It is possible, and I am determined to do it. As long as I dont look at calories, I won’t get into trouble.
So many years of self abuse to my eating habits is difficult to manage the entire thought process and get past my past images of diet or lack there of.
But an ideal diet would be a healthy one that nurtures the body and mind to maximum capacity.
My ideal diet would consist of lots of wholesome food that I can be creative with and that’s healthy on most days and truly delicious and calorific on a few days of the month.
I would include just some of these ingredients If I could buy them in the supermarket :
Breakfast
Bread
Porridge
Flaxseed oils
Milk
Fruit
Salmon
Eggs
Ingredients to make a pan Chocolat
Lunch
Veggies for stir fry
Chicken
Lemon grass
Coconut milk
Soy
Fish sauce
Tuna
Cheese
Ham
Dinner
Beef
Fish – Sole, snapper, prawns, cod
Lamb
Lentils
Rice
Indian spices
Potatoes
Ingredients to make sticky toffee pudding or crème brulee
Fruit , yoghurt, chocolate and Ice cream
Plus a bottle of pre secco and red wine
Bottled water too
I love varying my shopping list so this would be the staples so I could cook many lovely meals
I have to admit I wasn’t expecting a question like this… And in my case this is one that requires me to think quite a bit about it mainly because I don’t (and never did) pay a lot of attention to what food I ate.
My weight is always the same no matter how many fast food I eat and my health, at least that I know of until now, hasn’t suffered much because of my big preference for meat. I can also say, just so you know, I feel that food is in no way a top priority in my life. I eat because I need to, not because I find it the most fascinating activity in the world. Actually most of the times, if people don’t remind me to go eat, I forget and could spend the whole day not eating anything and not feeling hungry at all. My family’s biggest worry right now is that I end forgetting to eat and because of that call me everyday to check my daily food intake >.<')
Back to the question… An ideal diet… I know the diets that are good for me and that I should have, I also know the foods I like to eat the most but, since they're not a lot, I'm pretty sure I'd get tired of always eating the same type of food.
I guess for this answer I'll go with: "My Ideal Diet is eating what I feel like eating at the moment" since I feel it's the truest answer I could give.
My ideal diet would be:
– For breakfast : some fruit juice, tea, coffee or hot chocolate depending on my mood and my craving. A fruit or walnuts, some toasts with jam and honey.
– For lunch: home cooked vegetables, with rice, pasta or another starchy food, and from time to time meat or fish, desert which could be a fruit, a yogurt, …
– A tea break: a hot cup of tea with a biscuit or a piece of cake,
– For dinner : depending on the season. For example: in winter time : as a starter raw vegetables, home cooked soup, cheese and desert; during other seasons: a mixed salad, a nice barbecue, a vegetable tart…
For me an ideal diet is a little bit of everything to please myself.
My ideal diet is something I have been trying to figure out for a while. It would be eating wholesome foods and following the Canadian food guide. I would do most of my cooking at home, but still enjoy eating out at restaurants. I would not eat at fast food places as they are mostly unhealthy.
Oeh…mjummie! Nice question!
My ideal diet….first image:
breakfast in Izamal, Mexico; the most delicious pancakes, fresh fruit and fresh juice.
(and sunshine, holiday, nice hostel, backpacking, totally in love )
Food is really really really important to me! I love decent food!
Another thing which is really important to me, is; buying local products!
I think it’s wrong/irresponsible/damaging to the environment/weird to buy vegetables from the other side of the world, while my own country also can produce them!
In general I’m quite happy with my eating patterns, but there are some things I want to change…
What I would like to change in my current eating habits is:
– I would like to eat vegetarian meals more often
(means I should study some veggie cookbooks for inspiration)
– I would like to buy biological meat more often
(it’s hard to find around here, so I have to figure out where I can buy it)
– I would like to prepare even more food from the bottom
(I make ao marmelade, ecological bread, cookies and desserts)
– Ideally I would buy more blueberries and other ‘powerfood’.
– I would like to buy even more biological/ecological products.
– I would like to grow even more fruits, herbs and vegetables in my own garden
(and maybe even one day have some chickens as well)
Ideal Diet… I remember being asked in the seventh grade if I could take a pill that would allow every food item I eat after that to not have any calories, would I take it and what would I eat. My best friend and I got super excited and talked about all the donuts and ice cream and chocolate we would eat. But now that I am older and have goals to travel, it has become much more important to me to maintain a good body, filled with nutrition. I am not worried about how skinny I am, or what weight I am, but interested in how healthy I am.
If I could work in the planning and financing, I would go fully whole and organic foods. I know that a lot of people doing this challenge probably feel the same. I would not give up meat, because I do love it and the way people can connect over a good hamburger, turkey, or fresh caught and cooked duck. Maybe it’s because I live in the country, where most of my family are hunters. But I would love to stop eating sugar, processed anything, and canned soups. I want to eat a bigger variety of fruits, veggies, and legumes. I also want to try all kinds of spices, and get away from simply steaming food, instead creating super healthy food with a delicious taste. Yum!
My ideal diet would consist of eating health foods, along with unhealthy foods. I enjoy eating broccoli, carrots, spinach and other veggies. But I also enjoy the regular unhealthy fattening foods too! Portioning my food was EXTREMLY difficult. And my thought was when someone would tell me to stop eating after I felt full was, GTFOH! But it’s so true. Once you get to the point where your brain is sending you hints like “hmmm I think I am getting full” I should listen. Otherwise I just always felt like I needed to be rolled around after every meal. So my ideal diet would be eating healthy foods (along with the not so healthy stuff) and learning when to stop eating. I enjoy the gym, spinning and the DVD workouts I bought from late night TV. Now, if I could just keep it all up, that would be PERFECT!
My diet would include a lot of variety. I’d expand the non-meat and non-dairy side more. Fruits, vegetables, beans, sprouts, lentils, nuts etc. More “alive” and nutritious foods than the “dead” animal derived stuff.
Lots of pork, chicken, Asian marinades and sauces, pasta, spinach, red pepper, hot sauces and salsas, carrots, chocolate — not all mixed together, mind you!
My Ideal Diet would be fresh and healthy and prepared for me by a great cook, but then I would wake up and realize I was dreaming.
… sometimes I wish we had pills like the Jetsons, so we could always have an exact diet that was balanced and healthy.
Then I think of how much I love to eat good food and too much of it and my weight will agree to that statement. I can be an emotional eater and I don’t see too many of them who crave salad when stressed…
I like to cook some too. I love it when I cook something and someone tells me it is yummy.
My ideal diet would be a balance of fresh food that are good for me and taste great and don’t take a lot of time to prepare. Chicken & veggies or salad with tuna would be often on the menu.
I think breakfast would be oatmeal and yogurt and fruit, lunch would be salad with protein and dinner would be balanced with green veggies, meat/fish/chicken and rice. I would build in three snacks throughout the day and space it out over 2 ½ hours so that my blood sugar would remain steady. I would drink more milk and water.
In my healthy, “should do” mind, I would like to have Asian vegan diet, but my heart desires the following diet:
-Fresh fruit Platter in the morning
-non-staining (teeth) interesting tasting tea (, like Lapsang Souchang, Chai, Earl Grey, still looking for one)
-International spicy vegetarian food (including Italian, French, Asian, Indian)
-Lots of Pasta with spicy sauces
– a big juicy hamburger with cheese – a couple of times per year
-“Confit de canard avec pommes de terre sarladaise” – a couple of times per year
-“Magret de canard avec figues” – 2 times per year
-Oysters from the Brittany – 3 times per year
-Carmel avec sel Macaroons from great place in Paris – 10 times per year
-Maine Lobster – 2 times per year
-to drink as much milk as I crave without it being bad for me. Milk is my vice and total comfort beverage
-to drink Coke as much as I want without it being bad for me
-to consume mega quanities of good quality ice cream (Berthillon or Hagen Daas)
– a glass of excellent champagne – 6 times per year
-Mango smoothies
This sounds absolutely yummy to me.
It feels satisfying to journal what I want even if it might not be healthy.
My ideal diet would be one in flavours.
I’ve had the experience of eating a standard homemade junk food diet and super healthy one eating food that didn’t taste much.
I’d like a diet that is like an experience and I get to try new things, much like travelling around the world to explore new places, it would be pretty cool to have a diet full of variety.
I guess I don’t want to be tied down to eating the same foods all the time.
Keyword: variety. Or balance.
avocado banana honey apples fresh berries nuts porridge seafood rice eggs good superfoods
simple fresh, bought daily
I am feeling expansive about my thinking about food and my ideal diet. Jimmy wrote about food for the mind and food for the soul, even mentioning relationships. That opened up my mind to realizing how important it is to have nurturing, supportive relationships of all kinds and on all levels and to be as nurturing to myself as possible.
And so I ask myself,
“Is this nurturing for me to taste, eat, breathe, smell, think, view, hear, feel, participate in?” Whatever I take into my physical, emotional, spiritual self is all part of the diet…food for the whole being of me, to feed me in the best possible way, so I can live in the best way and fulfill my true purpose.
Iwona mentioned a very powerful, nurturing childhood memory about fresh baked bread, right out of the oven, at a family meal that took place under the walnut tree out in the countryside. This memory, this aroma, and to this day, this hot, crusty, European bread still nurtures her every time. Honestly, it is fulfilling to me just to think about it, because I have similar, powerful food memories that also included a warm gathering.
Every single day, I need to feed my soul with what is uplifting and what inspires me, whether it is something that I am creating or something that I am receiving from outside myself that resonates within me. Meditation and quiet time is a priority for me, and I feel like I am not living my best life without it. Hearing beautiful music feeds my whole being. I feed my mind with challenges, or a good read, video, or audio, or having a rich conversation or loving relationship with someone, being here on the PE blog, frequent journaling, writing poetry, and anything that challenges me to expand my thinking or develop new ideas and solutions. Helping out others is a great reward in and of itself and feeds my soul.
The physical diet that works best for me and is therefore ideal is living as close to low impact living as possible, growing a sustainable garden, (or eating local produce), having fruit trees, root crop veggies, preferably year-round (in a tropical environment) and eating as close to the natural food itself, whole foods, organic, mainly raw veggies. Also important is deeply breathing the fresh air and sunshine, hearing natural sounds, taking in daily exercise, ocean swims, keeping the metabolism stoked up, efficiently burning the food for energy by eating smaller meals more often (breakfast, lunch, & Dinner and a couple snacks). Carbs are healthy in small quantities for me, but only complex carbs. Tofu, tempeh are okay for me, also eggs, free range chicken, turkey, fish, seafood, seaweed, legumes, wheat grass, raw seeds and nuts, flaxseed or olive oil, fresh fruit, plain yogurt, lots of greens and veggies of all colors and descriptions of course! Plenty of healthy, creatively herbed/spiced soups and herbs and spices to perk up and bring out the best in plain, honest food. Yummy fruit shakes. Included in my ideal diet is cooking and eating with gratitude and awareness and joy, taking my time, and being mindful of chewing my food. Sharing meals with others is also part of my healthy ideal diet, especially when there is joy and celebration, and harmony prevails.
Especially important for me is healthy water, 3-4 qts. daily. That is my main beverage, a constant, but I also drink herb teas and organic decaffeinated coffee. I am not against drinking wine or alcohol, but I rarely do and when I do, it’s just a little. I also take vitamins and supplements to keep my body as healthy as possible. Getting the right amount of sleep is also vital. Preferably sleep when it’s dark out, but little naps are also very refreshing!
I am learning to grow in my awareness of what I am eating and what I am partaking of in my life…what am I breathing in my world. I desire to keep dedicated in taking responsibility for the effects of what I eat and take in my world has on my body and mind. What memories am I creating today? All of those memories become part of my “Now” moment.

My ideal diet would be delicious and healthy. Actually, my ideal would be to eat anything I want without health consequences, but that’s not going to happen. So, second best is a diet of foods that are fresh and simple, mostly fruits and salads, with a little bit of meat. And chocolate! I must have chocolate! Not a lot, just a little.
My husband has many health problems, even though he has always eaten a healthy diet. As part of his self care, he records nutrition information about every single thing he eats because he has to control the amount of potassium and avoid certain minerals, as well as fat, cholesterol, sodium, all those things we all need to consider. The record keeping allows him to choose whatever he wants based on what else he has been eating recently.
I’m not good at that kind of record keeping but some sort of tracking system would certainly help me to eat better without feeling deprived.
I’m enjoying reading other people’s thoughts on this subject.
There are a lot of foods that taste good that are bad for you. Mostly processed stuff. My Ideal diet would be lots of fresh organic fruits and vegetables. I like chicken and fish and beef as well. I like nuts and seeds and grains and also yogurt. Chocolate needs to be a part of the plan. I drink tea and water and wine, so those will be a part of the ideal diet. I do like well prepared food with delicious sauces and seasoning. I don’t tend to cook that way so I do appreciate a good meal out at a fine restaurant. My stomach likes foods I cook myself that are simply prepared and wholesome and healthy. I have a pretty good diet now, but I probably overeat. That satisfied feeling quickly sneaks by until I get to that full feeling. I would love to have someone cook for me. It’s not a chore I enjoy all that much.
Fresh tomatoes from my own garden every day of the year.
Olives.
Kebabs from Mustafa’s Gemüse Kebab in Berlin.
And to eat every meal in company, with friends and/or family. Food just doesn’t taste that good when you eat alone (unless it’s something you shouldn’t be eating :D )
Can’t wait for next summer and perfect tomatoes from my grandpa’s garden <3
I could give a big lecture on my ideal diet. I would eat lots of raw veggies, with organic meats and cheeses, fresh fruit, beans, grains, and yummy almond milk.
The beginning of the day would be 2 servings of steel cut oats made with vanilla almost milk, a drizzle of both honey and pure maple syrup (not the pancake syrup), and finally a scoop of peanut butter. A glass of fresh squeezed orange juice.
Then I would have a snack of 2 servings of granola with dried cranberries, dried apricots, and nuts.
Lunch would be various meal combinations of 2 servings of protein, 2 servings of grains, 2 servings of veggies, and 1 serving of dairy. Example: a turkey sandwich on 12-grain bread, topped with tomatoes, spinach, and Dijon mustard, with a side salad (yellow tomatoes, romaine lettuce, red bell pepper, carrots, mozzarella balls, and balsamic vinaigrette. Or some pinto beans with Spanish rice and a sautéed vegetable medley.
Then I would have a serving of fruit with some nice cheese (like brie, goat cheese, or Swiss) and whole-grain crackers for an afternoon snack.
For a post workout recovery I would drink a whey isolate protein drink with almond milk.
Finally for dinner I would have 2 servings of protein and 2 servings of veggies. Example: poached salmon with kale salad and a serving of broccoli (steamed with fresh squeezed lemon).
I know this seems a lot but I workout a lot. It’s not because I think I’m overweight or am a health nut (even though the entry makes it look like I am). I would like to run a marathon next year sometime, so I’m starting to run, I train a martial arts on top of it, and a couple of days I strength train. That puts me at about 2200 calories a day to consume.
And I’m sure that I’ll eat cookies and cupcakes every now and then, but I’ll try my best to limit them.
My ideal diet would be full of fruits and vegetables with molluscs ans fish! AS less meat as possible!
Preferably home cooked, steamed.
With as less fat as possible.
Anything healthy.
I’m very busy and have many responsibilities and therefore food preparation is very low on my list. I’d LOVE to be able to come to a buffet and be able to choose what I’d like to eat without having to go through the rigmarole of preparation … wink wink, dream on …
I’d love to be able to sustain a 75% raw food diet. Reason why I don’t want to go full raw is because I LOVE fish and sushi and don’t want to stop eating that. Also, prep work during winter could be quite heavy.
Enough of the what I can and can’t and won’t. My ideal diet: hmmmm … I’m at a stage in my life where when I drink Coke, eat chocolate or other nutrient low foods I feel as if it’s draining all the vitamins and minerals from my body in order to digest it as it’s not whole foods. Yes, I still enjoy a snack of chips, etc. but don’t feel so good about it anymore. I now take rye bread with salad to work and it’s not the kind of food you gobble up quickly as a comfort food. It is the kind of food you eat because you are giving your body the necessary fuel.
So, ideal diet: SUSHI EVERY DAY OF MY LIFE!! watermelon, litchis, banana, kiwi fruit, star fruit, strawberries, peaches, mangoes, jackfruit, granadillas, pears, grapes, pink lady apples, wow, I could live on this!! Then also tomatoes, raw zucchini pasta with raw tomato dressing or basil pesto. Green smoothies, just love them!! Strawberry and other berry smoothies. Food as unprocessed and whole as possible. I don’t need mixes or combinations really. I can easily do the simple repetitive stuff.
SUSHI, food of the gods!
What is your ideal diet like?
My ideal diet would be nothing like what my actual diet is. I would like to eat healthfully but most of my diet is full of processed, oily and fatty foods as that is what I grew up on. I know this is severely impacting different aspects of my health. The problem is that I struggle to eat vegetables (much less a salad!) regularly because the taste and texture make me physically sick. I have been working on this the past 5 years but so far to no avail. Any suggestions?
I would LOVE to eat locally grown and organic fruits, vegetables and grass-fed, humanely-raised farm animals. Meat/poultry would only be a small part of my diet compared to plant-based matter. I wouldn’t prohibit myself from eating things that are not healthy for me, but I would hope that they simply wouldn’t be as tasty as the more healthful foods in my diet.
Are there any veggies you do like?
Maybe you could see yourself as a child in the veggie-eating-business and start with what small children often like. Stuff like carrots and cucumber.
Carrots could be raw,or cooked, mashed with potatoes, chopped finely in bread or muffins.
Just start with one vegetable and eat it, in small amounts, for 3-4 days in a row.
Small children often have issues with salad, courgette, paksoy etc. because of the texture!!
My ideal diet would be very diverse it would consist of organic home made vegetables and meats but i would also made my own fruit and chocolate deserts. Most of the food would be prepared by me but some would be prepared by professional chefs. But sometimes i would also like to eat fast foods like pizza, Italian food, MC Donald’s , etc.
For my breakfast i would like to have fresh fruit or fruit salads. Sometimes i would like to have healthy cereals mix, and sometimes i would like to have sandwich and orange fresh orange juice, rarely i would have pancakes and pastries.
Between breakfast and lunch i would like to have a small snack like tea and cookies on winter time and fruit and a muffin in summer time. But most of the time i would keep my diet healthy.
For lunch which is main course in my country i would like to eat soups, salads and slow cooked homemade dishes made of organic foods. But sometimes i would like to go out and eat whatever i want from fast food to Italian food like pastas. I would like to eat salad with every lunch if it is possible.
If i would have a snack between lunch and dinner it would mostly be fruit or organic cereal bar or something energizing but not unhealthy.
And finally i would try to keep my dinner small and mostly made of grilled fish, chicken and vegetables. As light and as organic as possible, of course with exceptions of few times when i eat out or when i indulge with a loved one.
3 healhty, balanced meals with nothing in between, one day at the time
My ideal diet would be home-cooked, vegetarian, with a high proportion of fruits and vegetables, with grains / tofu for protein.
I am already vegetarian, but I often eat too little protein and too much carbs and milk products like cheese . Ideally, I should decrease these, but not eliminate them completely.
I already eat my ideal diet. I eat healthy, and I have my treats :). I do wish that my favorite fruits were always ripe and in season though!
