I’m proud to announce that I’ve been invited by Channel News Asia to be on their show again to share about new year’s resolutions! What a wonderful way to kick off the new year!
We’ll be talking about how to commit to resolutions made, the main reasons why people can’t commit to their resolutions and also how support from loved ones can make a difference. Might have a little overlap with the points we covered last year but it’s always good to do a refresher really. :)
I’ll be on the show on Monday, Jan 6, at 8:45am sharp (GMT +8, Singapore time). This will be a LIVE interview, so I’ll be in the studio in person as you’re watching! Best to log on five minutes before just so you don’t miss anything!
For those who do not have Channel News Asia on your TV feed, watch their (free) live streaming video here:
It’s only available in countries and territories covered by the AsiaSat 3S satellite (pretty much whole of Asia Pacific including the Middle East, South Asia, Southeast Asia, Northeast Asia and Australia), so readers in U.S. and U.K. won’t be able to watch unfortunately. :( I’ll try and see if I can upload a copy!

Update: The interview is over and you can catch it in the video below! :)

In the interview with awesome hosts Yvonne Yong and Steven Chia, talking about new year’s resolutions and how to make them stick

Sharing success stories of new year’s resolutions that worked, such as me turning vegetarian, a PE reader who lost 25kg in 8 months, and my fiance Ken successfully quitting smoking after being a heavy smoker for 6 years!

Group shot with the very funny Steven Chia and beautiful Yvonne Yong. :)
Thanks Channel News Asia for having me back on the show; it was great sharing my personal tips with everyone! :) Remember, focus on making progress and taking baby steps if you want your new year’s resolutions to stick this year. Here’s to an amazing 2014 to everyone and let’s rock in excellence together! :)
Such themes are always actual and they are always in demand, because they combine something philosophical together with some psychological points. And of course I think
that such discussions can influence any person`s life really positively.
Congrats Celestine, and fantastic job. I agree that planning on how you’re going to realize your resolutions is definitely an important step. If you don’t know how you’re going to do it, you’re most likely not going to do it.
Great insights Celestine! :)

Glad you uploaded the video on YouTube so that PE readers from other countries could watch it as well (I remember you testing links on Facebook to check if we could play a certain video on a site, and it wasn’t working for Europe). Thank you!
As for New Year’s resolutions, I agree that planning is one of the most important parts. There’s a quote going along the lines of “A goal without a plan is just a wish.” I completely agree with that. Also, I’ve come to realize that setting a small number of resolutions is better than having a lot of them, because trying to achieve too much, too soon usually leads to failure.
What happened to the daily quote that use to be emailed, haven’t received one all week.
Due to the resources required to upkeep it, the daily quotes has been discontinued (at least for now). You can still browse over 600+ inspirational quotes in the personal excellence quotes section: https://personalexcellence.co/quotes/
Good start for 2014, Celestine! <3 O:) *
Thank you so much Melvz!! :) I’ll be uploading the material shortly!
