  1. Im grateful to find this website.
    Thankyou!

  2. This year, I can easily say I’m most grateful for my friends. I met so many amazing people this year, people who have really listened to me and told me things which have helped me so much. I also got to meet my best friend in person for the first time, which was an amazing experience in itself.

I’ve been very lucky to have some true friends in my life so far, friends that have stuck by even as we’ve all began going to college and taking up our own paths. But this year I’ve met people who I hope will be present not just now while we’re in college, but for the rest of my life. Of course, that’s a lot to ask of someone, but I truly feel a connection and hope that it’ll be possible to keep contact in the future.

I love all of my friends, and they will never know just how grateful I am for them, but I hope they’ll always know how much I appreciate their place in my life. =)

  3. I am grateful for:
    1) Meeting my current boyfriend: We have met each other for almost three years now. He is very caring, affectionate and thoughtful, not only to myself but also to my family, which I am very thankful to. He has brought me out of my own little world and taught me so much. With him, I feel very comfortable being myself, which is the first for me, since I always tend to not express all of my feelings to everyone around me, even friends and family. I have had so many first’s with him i.e. first guy ever brought home, first boyfriend ever introduced to the WHOLE extended family, and first person ever traveled with beside family members and school, etc. He has helped me out SO much, which I can not, at all, compare to anything. Though I am not able to return all the love he gives me, I am still trying hard. I hope things would work out and leave no regrets for both of us

    3) My mother: Even though she is still very strict with me (like ever) I can feel that we are more open to each other now, we can talk about more things and feel more relaxed around each other. She trusts me more and I love the fact that she takes her time to think about the things I ask of her, then responses with much thought and consideration; unlike my dad with a straight-out no. She has been working so hard to support me and the family, so I am really happy to see that my results have brought her such joy and proud. I am working hard as well in hope to provide her with all the needs and support she wishes for. I want to become the person she could trust and rely on.

    4) My brother and sister-in-law: They have always given me such love and care. However, I feel it the most when my boyfriend and I came to visit them in Melbourne. They gave us complete trust and freedom, which I am so thankful for. The way they treated us, the consideration and thought they offered, I was in awe. They made me want to see more of Melbourne and even to live here!

    3) My grandmother: She took me with her to Adelaide after HSC as a reward for all of my hard work *wink* Here I have learned to appreciate vegetarian foods, have met wonderful friends, and helped out the temple with a lot of things. It was the first time I have traveled outside NSW!

    4) My teachers and classmates who have helped me so much in achieving high result in my HSC. I wish I was more diligent and hard-working. However, I am also happy with the way things turned out, since I have learned my lesson in a hard way.

  4. #2013Countdown, #7: What are you most grateful for in 2012? (Merry Christmas!!! =))

    – My marathon in Valencia – DREAMS COME TRUE. I am especially grateful for having the courage to dream big, believing in myself, sticking to the training and opening to the adventure. I am also very thankful to the lovely Spanish girl and her flatmates who hosted and supported me in Valencia.
    – Being a Toastmaster and sharing this great experience with other growth-oriented, joyful, courageous, enthusiastic and energetic people.
    – My therapy – I learn a lot and want to practice and experiment even more in my life.
    – The 5 days long workshop in African dances and improvisation, done in French lovely countryside…
    – My lovable and lovely boyfriend and cat, they are my best coaches, supporters and teachers.. I love them and want them to feel this!
    – Having the courage to speak up when needed.
    – The move – great professional experience if you work in Facilities Management.
    – Last but not least – my pay rise, negotiated courageously with my company (you can do it too!). :D

  5. • God’s blessings in improving my financial conditions, helping to make connection with my family better and making me go through it all (good and worse – else I would never have found realities and strength in myself). I am grateful to God for every second of 2012.

  6. Grateful to almighty for my health. Had really damaged my health previously due to work. Thought the damages are irreversible, but managed to recove to a great extend and make a comeback.now that I have the knowledge of what I would miss if I damage my health, it has set me to a path where I treasure what all I have in life.

  7. I am grateful for the chance to study and work abroad, to have met new people from all over the world, to have gained a little perspective about life, to learn about myself and what I really want (or at least, a little more clarity than I had before), to realise I am stronger than I think I am, to have pushed myself past boundaries, to have seen some beautiful places, to have helped people in my job, even if only in a small way.

  8. A spiritual insight that has clarified the past 4 years and made the future soooo much brighter

  9. I am grateful for so many things this year: my health and the health of all of my loved ones, my boyfriend and the sale of my house. 2012 Definitely had its ups and downs, but my new attitude has allowed me to view even the so called downs as lessons/opportunities. I am very grateful for PSI and all that it has taught me. I believe it has changed the course of my life. Not only am I learning to use the tools I already have to get through life in a more positive and productive way, but I have a network of friends that support me. I believe I’m a better friend, mother and all around person. I feel hopeful for my future for the first time since my divorce.

  10. I am most grateful for freedom in this country to choose what to do and when to do it. To be able to travel interstate and to be able to work part-time with my health the way it is sometimes is a miracle.

  11. That I got into running which made me so much happier.
I got to go to Germany.
My growing friendship with my best friend.
That I got a new job closer to home and earn more money now.
All the fun times with my old work colleagues.
My son is happier in school and is very creative and a brilliant reader and builder of complicated toys.
That I improved my relationship with my mum a bit.
My brother E for making me laugh.
That I have a job when many people’s benefits are being cut.
That I still believe in my dreams when many would have let them go.
Increased self awareness and all the mistakes I made that I can learn from now.
    Increased self acceptance.
Realising that I need to change my parenting, my organisational skills and perhaps my working hours/profession in the long term.

  12. I am most grateful for…

    the lessons I’ve learned

the friendships and enemies I’ve made

    family and support

    the experiences I’ve encountered

being healthy and living to see 2012

those who’ve sacrificed so much for me

my mom who is a Proverbs 31 woman yet she is not given what she deserves

failure, without failure how can be know what success is

meeting people who know the meaning and value of life

    the NSU concert choir

having the ability to go too college

a home full of love and warmth

    utilities

having the opportunity to see what real determination, perseverance, focus, hard-work, and vision look like so I can apply it to my journey in 2013 and the rest of my life

having the ability to read people and know the intentions of others

opening my mind to possibly having a relationship, which I’ve never considered until 2012

    food =^^=

knowing who I am as a person

  13. What are you most grateful for in 2012?

The wisdom and opportunity to make the most of every day in my life this year. No day this year went by without my questioning, how can I make this day matter to me? I’m very grateful for that.

  14. I am grateful for having my boyfriend. He is the greatest blessing I have ever received and I love him with all my heart. No one else has ever made me feel so welcome, so appreciated, so at home, so loved, so accepted the way I am, with all my faults. We’ve been together for two years now and my life has been uphill all the way since the day we first kissed. So much has improved, and he’s been with me every step of the way.
He helps me cheer up when I’m down, he makes me laugh even when all I want to do is cry.

I love him more than anything and even when I believe in nothing else, I believe in him. In us. And I know that he believes in me more than I will ever believe in myself. And that has given me so much strength the past two years.

I am grateful. That I can fall asleep each night beside the man I love. Thank you.

    • What you said about your boyfriend was beautiful. Your comments about him demonstrates that love really does exist. Which I’ve doubted all my life, but 2012 has proven me wrong and so have you. Thank you for that. Best wishes to you and your boyfriend in 2013 and the future.

Kelli =^^=

      • It does :)

I appreciate it all the more because I also went through a horrible relationship of 2 1/2 years before I finally got out of it, which made me feel I’d never be happy again. My current boyfriend has shown me that love is not painful, that it is pure and good and kind and healing. It is a place to come home to and base of incredible strength.

My current relationship is everything that love should be. No matter how horrid my day, when I come home to him and see that smile and feel those arms around me, I know it was worth it. I know that everything is okay.

Wishing you all the best for the new year, may it be filled with love and happiness. :)

        • One day I hope I can have that love in my life. In my 18 yrs of leaving I’ve never had a boyfriend because I never cared to have one, I mainly focused on my work and tried to work to my fullest potential. However, as I experience life more I’ve come to realize that, that is an excuse for me not to attempt to be in a relationship because I’m scared to get hurt. I’ve had a bad experience with males in my life and all they did was hurt me and let me down so I gave up on all guys and by creating the work excuse I couldn’t get hurt. Even when writing the word ‘love’ it seems so foreign to me, but 2012 was the year of testimonies by so many people who are in love and I’m so grateful I was able to hear and read some of them. Thank you so very much for yours.

          Kelli =^^=

          • Aw, thank you :)

I’m sure you will find love as long as you’re open to receiving it. I had my first boyfriend with 19, I’d never actively been looking for one, and was plenty busy with my schoolwork and training, but I trusted that somehow it would happen and unexpectedly right after school I stumbled into my first relationship :)

The first one didn’t work out and was a pretty horrid experience, but I think overall it has made me stronger and given me a better feeling for what I want and don’t want. It also lets me appreciate my second relationship way more, which I got into at 21 and which is still going strong :)

I’m so happy to have found such a special person, and I’m sure you will too. You will find someone where you won’t be afraid to be hurt, because they will not hurt you.
One of the things I’m most grateful for in my life is that I never gave up on love even when I was going through bad times. My first relationship hurt me, but did not damage my faith in true love. I am so grateful I was able to leave the pain behind and start over. I’m sure you can too.

Don’t give up on love… it does exist. Yes, there is pain and there are many many failed and broken relationships, but there is also those that work out. And they’re totally worth it.

Thank you for your wonderful comment :)

  15. I am grateful for my big family, them being healthy and supportive. For my friends who always make me feel special, our wealth which allows me to take a break of work and still have my life standart, for my passion for self development, for god showing me miracles when I really ask and ready for them..

  16. My son, my new job, and my health.

  17. dEsPaRcHaDa 13 years ago

I am grateful for all of my parents help. I am grateful for such a loving and dedicated husband. I am grateful for the family business. I am grateful for my good health. I am grateful for my in-laws support. I am grateful for just a wonderful life.

  18. That I have (I believe) found the drive and the motivation to finally make the changes in myself that I need. I’ve needed them for a long time, but I’ve always thought I needed to make them for someone else, and that made me resent and resist having to make them – so I’ve always rationalized giving up, justified to myself that I didn’t actually need to do it, whatever “it” was. Well, all the changes needed are the same, but I need them for ME now. Not because my wife, or my mother, or my friends want them. *I* need them. *I* need to be in better shape. *I* need to be more assertive, more confident. *I* need to be stronger. And I can be. I don’t know if I ever could have before.

I am grateful for so many things, for all the wonderful people around me, for having the freedom and resources to pursue my dreams, to have access to good food, education and luxurious living conditions. I am so thankful that God has blessed me with innumerable good things, but these are a few main ones that I would like to specially mention…
    1. Getting into my masters program.
    2. Getting a Best TA award.
    3. Visiting Yellowstone National Park- magnificent, amazing!
    4. Making wonderful new friends from all across the globe! :D
    5. Grateful for completing (almost! ) two glorious years with my adorable husband. I love you darling!
    6. Grateful for good health- both mine and my family’s ! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
    7. Passing hurricane Sandy unscathed! Thank God!

  20. I am grateful to be alive and in good health.
I am grateful for my friends and family.
I am grateful to have a job that I love.
I am grateful for my financial security.
I am grateful that I was able to travel to a new country.
I am grateful for warm summer days spent in the sunshine.
I am grateful my ex-girlfriend was in my life this year.

  21. – That my kids still love me
    – That I managed to find a solution to some of my health issues
    – That I have finally come to the point where I accept that I need to make some major changes in my life and that I actually, REALLY WANT TO do this
    – That I have begun the process of letting go some old, unhelpful patterns from the past and am pleased with the results. It has encouraged me to continue

  22. Oh, what a LOVELY question!
There is so much for me to be grateful for!

    My health
my wonderful children, who are all healthy and happy and growing
my sweet V, who is a sheer joy to be with
    my amazing, exciting job
    my bicycle
my awareness of all of my golden opportunities

  23. I am grateful for having most of my needs met. I am not a wealthy person by any means (yet!) but I have always had what I need. Even though I worry sometimes it always works out. I have transportation, a nice safe place to live and good quality food. Also, I have a handful of very supportive people in my life.

  24. I’m so grateful for so much this year!

I’m especially grateful for my ex-boyfriend. He opened up my eyes completely this year and set me on the path for self-growth and self-development. I wouldn’t have improved so much if it wasn’t for him. He taught me so much and made me realise how beautiful and special I am, and to love and respect myself and my body more. I could write an essay on everything he did for me and taught me, and I’m so grateful to have met him, loved him and been loved by him.

I’m grateful for my childhood and uni friends and my family – basically the people I have known for years and years! Going away from home for so long (it had been a year since I last saw anyone from home) and then coming home was so special and made me feel so happy and grateful for what I’ve got. Slotting back into my old life was so easy and it felt fantastic to tease people and be teased by people for things that happened like five, ten, fifteen, twenty years ago! :D

I’m grateful for the UK!! I’m grateful for the selection of cheese and wine and other lovely food and drink. I’m grateful for warm houses and comfy sofas and green hills and adorable villages and funny accents and crisp coldness. Never, ever thought I’d be an anglophile, but now I love it!

I’m grateful for being young and having my whole life ahead of me. I’m grateful for my brain and my health and my body and my heart. I’m so grateful for so many things this year!

  25. First of all I will thanks to my Mom and Dad,
after that my wife and my two childrens…………they all are my main insprations in this world.
And now thanks to my all company collegues and lastly citizens of NCR.
And not to be forgotten the great power of universe……GOD,
    JAI HIND……..

  26. Amazing friends who have truly shown me that having a great support network helps you when you need support but also encourage you to let loose and have fun. They can challenge you without fear that they are not acting in your best interest, who have enough respect for you to be honest and enjoying being a part of your life. Friends who turn into the family you choose.

  27. I am grateful for being alive
I am grateful for having a supportive family
I am grateful for having friends who care for me and always look out for my well being
I am grateful for my super awesome boyfriend whom i love to no bounds!
I am grateful for everything bad that has happened in my life that led me to learn lessons from each of them
I am grateful for all the good that has happened to me which has helped me grow as a person and kept me happy
