We’re finally up!! :)

I’m so incredibly excited!!

After a month of envisioning, planning and writing, the blog is finally up!! :) I have already written a few article series which I will be posting over the next few weeks, the first being a series on discovering your life purpose (7-part series).

The reason I wrote these articles before launching is that I want to fully focus on writing content first, then marketing when the site is launched vs. trying to juggle the two activities and doing a substandard job on each.

If you are new here, welcome! :) I am Celestine Chua and this blog is here because I want you to get the absolute best out of living. :) A few months ago, I quit my full-time job in brand management to pursue my life purpose to help others achieve their highest potential.

This blog is one of the channels which I plan to use to achieve that. :)

In case you have not read on the main page, this blog is all about personal development. Every week, it will be updated with new articles aimed at improving your life, covering areas such as Career & Work, Relationships, Health & Fitness, Finance & Wealth, Spirituality, etc. The topics covered include

  2. Hi Celeste
Congratulations on stepping into the blogging world as part of living your dream. I sensed a sense of enthusiasm and energy as I looked through your pages. I will subscribe and look forward watching it grow and provide support, ideas and motivation to people who are looking to create a life they love living. I blog on similar topics though with a little more focus on inner awareness, nonviolent communication – taking care of the world from the inside out you could say. Good luck and happy blogging.

Gosh guys!! You’re making me feel so embarrassed (albeit in a good way)! Thank you so much for your sweet comments :) For the record, you are the very reason for the improvement in your own lives – the only way they could have come about is because you allowed them to. The catalyst can only be a catalyst.

The site just started so I’m really excited to see it blossom in the coming months and years. I’ll definitely be doing my best and look toward everyone to give me feedback so that I can get better!

  4. Apparently, Celest has touched more than one life (aside from me). Here’s a toast to a friend whom I’ve come to know before I ended my Junior College Years, and one who have connected to me (and obviously not just me) on so many levels where others could not have comprehended. We started out as friends but somewhere along the days of schooling and rushing through examinations, we have managed to usher in other elements into our friendship. To say she’s brought fulfillment into my life would seem (to many) as overstated but believe me when you are believer among non-believer sometimes you just wish there’s others out there who can understand. And that’s what she did and is still doing. She believes because she understands what others have so nonchalantly neglected – Life and its purpose.
Everyone should and have a goal, either to fulfill a minor one or one that expands throughout a lifetime, and it’s always heartening to have a listener and a believer. And Celest is one of those people I have count on to believe. The things she’d learned as I have come to be acquainted, as I believe, will serve as a viable tool for every other person out there who needs a platform to reflect on or to seek resonance.

Let us so live that when we come to die even the undertaker will be sorry. -Mark Twain

I believe it is through reading what is offered here can one realize the quote by Mark Twain. For one surely does not aim to go through life without value, without purpose. And I definitely hope others will get something out of this blog albeit something minute through Celest’s chronicles. Understand that we don’t just know life, we learn them through the lens of others and this blog can be that lens.

  5. Congratulations Celes! I’m really happy and excited to see your new site up finally, it’s been a lot of anticipation on my side!

To those of you visiting the site for the first time, I’ve known Celes now for coming close to 10 years. Celes has always been a standout, remarkable person, but then something happened that truly changed her life, and not long after that, she did something which has truly changed mine.

You see, we’d become best friends over those years; the kind of best friends who know more about each other than anyone else in the world knows. Then one day after she really became present to her purpose in life, to help others, she did something very courageous and remarkable. She took a stand for me without my even asking. She took a stand that I stop being disempowered in my life, to take control and actually begin living the life I’ve always wanted.

She did this by risking everything, she put her very friendship with me on the line to help me find my own purpose in life. Ultimately, it did the trick, it spurred me to think about something I’d never bothered to before because I’d never considered myself worthy or able. And after thinking about it for a few weeks, I did finally settle on a purpose for my life (at first I settled, then I finally understood and got powerfully related to my real purpose). That simple act has carried me on for nearly the last 2 years of my life, in an almost relentless pursuit of the source of that faint glimmer of light I first saw on the day I finally recognized that I had a purpose. It has brought me to literally hundreds, or probably thousands of realizations about my life and life in general, each of which has contributed to changing the course of my life forever in a way I’d never even dreamed was possible.

As a result of this pursuit over the past two years, here are some of the many things I’ve gotten:

    * a 40% raise at work
    * a newfound enjoyment and happiness over a job I took back after I’d given up on it and had even quit
    * an ability to let go of the burdens I’d placed on myself over the experiences of my past
    * being able to seriously consider taking on an education I’d always denied myself due to all the reasons as I could think of for not having it
    * a new relationship with my family
    * the desire to drop everything I’ve been doing to move back home to spend a few years of real quality time with my parents while I still have that chance
    * a recognition of what REALLY matters to me rather than the constantly changing list of things I’d always thought mattered to me
    * the ability to love myself
    * the opportunity to BE myself
    * the chance to truly connect and be with others, by stepping into their world with them rather than pretending that the ridiculous charicatures I’d constructed of them and their lives in my head were actually who they were
    * the chance to truly and fully love others for who they are
    * the freedom to accept my life for what it is
    * the power to change my life into what I desire
    * an ability to make my life happen instead of having life happen to me
    * many new and great friendships with people I’d always believed I couldn’t stand

There are many more, I could list pages of things I never had before, many of which are things I never thought I could have or didn’t even know existed before

I’d never had the slightest interest in personal growth or personal development in my life before that day, I’d always looked at people who pursued these things as nut-cases who were weak-willed or had something wrong with them. Today I’ve realized that there is nothing wrong with them, it’s just that they’re able to catch a glimpse of something I hadn’t been able to see from where I stood in life. They see the possibility of something greater, something that makes a difference in their lives and the lives of others. They have the desire to make things better not just for themselves but for all those around them. What they pursue, whether they realize it at first or not, is a gift to the world. It’s the gift of themselves, in the best possible condition they can be in.

There is nothing more rewarding than the experience of reaching out and connecting with another and contributing to them in a way that leaves them touched or inspired about their own lives and seeing how it can grow outward from there, further touching and inspiring those who are the most important to that person.

What Celes did in pursuit of the purpose she’d defined for her life the day she put everything on the line was to invest in the future of someone who mattered to her. That investment has paid off in ways she never imagined it could. The payoff for her was a far more meaningful friendship than we’d ever shared before, as well as being able to give me the gift of Love, Acceptance, Freedom and Enlightenment in my own life. Today, these words are who I am and the words I live by. Having that gift, knowing that those words represent who I am, allows me to measure at any time in any situation how closely aligned I am with my true self, and then allows me to choose in the moment how I can best represent that self in my life. Self-improvement and personal growth aren’t a one-time thing and they aren’t for only winners or losers, they’re something every person gets to do every time they make a choice whether they recognize it yet or not. It’s far and away the most profound, life-changing and rewarding pursuit I have ever undertaken.

Thank you Celes for being my friend, and for being such a good friend that you could give me my life. I’ll definitely keep checking in to see what else I can learn from you!
