[Manifesto] The 8 Habits of Highly Productive People

This is a manifesto of The 8 Habits of Highly Productive People, an all time site classic written in 2010. I’ve extracted the 8 habits and produced them in a portrait layout. The tips are timeless and apply no matter when you’re reading it, of course!8 Habits of Highly Productive People, Manifesto

So far I’ve shared it on my Facebook page, and it seems many people like it. Thanks for your kind comments, everyone! :) (If you’re not on my Facebook, you should – it’s where I connect with PE readers and let them into my personal life as much as possible.)

  1. Good Job. Synthetical and Resourceful Manifesto. Appreciate the grey square around…

    • Celes says:

Thanks Alban. :) The grey border is due to the link actually – it’s not part of the image.

      • Okay…why don’t you show us your designer skills like I said on your facebook page?

Does it seems unimportant or unproductive to you “as specified” in your manifesto?

        • Celes says:

I want to keep it as simple as possible actually. Just a no frills version of some of the best content on the blog. I find that the more complicated I make things, the longer they take to execute, and that prevents people from benefiting from the material.

  2. Anyway, I do love it and I indeed want more. Great Inspiration.

  3. J says:

This is a good format for me, Celes. Hopefully the numbers show that to be true for others as well.

“Since a lot of the content on PE is gold…”

    :)

    • Celes says:

Glad to know you like the format, J! I’m sure a good handful of readers will find value in this format too. More to come soon. :)

  4. Glenn says:

    Looks good to me :)

Have you managed to automate or outsource any additional items since the original post Celes?

    • Celes says:

Great question, Glenn. :D I’m thinking of outsourcing the manifesto work, but I’m having fun doing it as of now.(It’s definitely bringing out my inner muse, as per Habit #4. ;) ) I might delegate it if I plan for this to be an ongoing project and/or the design process stops becoming enjoyable.

  5. As a believer in checklists and simple directives, this works for me. Keeping a reminder visible is a key part of staying on track, whichever direction one is moving in!

    Thanks.

    Hi Celes,
good work, i will just admire it simply in 3 ways..

    1. Time saving-u can decide whether to read the full article or not by just looking at manifesto

2.Memory enhancer-for those who had read the article earlier,it would be a memory recall work for them to recall contents of each step in depth.

3.Motivational tool- it is going to be a motivational tool to be kept on vision board.wallpaper, wall

  7. Charles Cave says:

I think it is a great idea to spread your message in the form of well designed “posters” like this one. Well done and looking forward to more….

  8. Adrienne Dinnall says:

Is it bad that the first thing I thought of when reading #1 was that I should cut out facebook? ;) Hahaha, I’m going to print this out and hang it up!

    • Celes says:

That’s awesome to hear, Adrienne. Printing it and hanging it up in a place you will see every morning/day is going to be highly powerful, for sure. :D

  9. Lenin Keo says:

Keep continue do it, I really like it. Celes

  10. Nico Le says:

    wonderful :)

  11. Alfred Trejo says:

    excellent

  12. Ish says:

I really like this! You always have great ideas Celes! :D
This format works well as a daily reminder and motivational tool. Hope to see more of them

  13. Donetta Sifford says:

these are great. i have shared these on my page so others can see. thank you.

    • Celes says:

Thank you so much for sharing them, Donetta. That’s one of the key reasons why I created the manifestos: (1) To serve as simple reminders of golden tips on PE (2) To make it easier for you to share the material with your friends/family.

  14. Wouter says:

Great idea Celes, those image manifestos form a desirable extra for your posts!
I was also glad to find out about the Holstee Manifesto through this page. Apparently it didn’t manage to reach me earlier :shy: , but I like it very much :-).

  15. Matt says:

This is definitely my favorite. Especially tip #1. If you’re not being productive on your goals you’re almost certainly spending too much time on unimportant tasks. I printed this out and taped it to my wall.

All the manifestos I have seen so far are great. It’s become a really interesting series of typography posters. I think 8 Steps to Overcome Shyness could make a great manifesto. It’s an exclusive article from PEBook though. So if you don’t turn it into a manifesto I’ll probably just make my own.

    • Celes says:

Hey Matt! You’re right – it is exclusive to PEBook so probably won’t make it into a manifesto (for now anyway). You are more than welcome to make it for your own use though.

  16. Michelle Kasprzak says:

The image manifestos are great. It also makes it easy to share your content! Thanks.
