I love connecting with open-minded people. Well, anyone else wouldn't find any connection points with me anyway - I'm weird beyond repair by now!!! It feels very very lonely at times, being so aware of myself and the world but I find more and more people who share this :)

Oh, and, down with capitalism! ;)

**21DPC DAY 21**
1.
1-3) How happy? Still a 9, because my money matters haven't improved but everything else in life is going just as well. There were some times when it probably fell down to 7-8 but there's just been so much positive :)
4) That it mostly depends on me (finding activities/people that inspire me) but also sadly on the outside system, cause I need a roof over my head and no one's gonna give it for free :(
5) Have some time to myself every week to do all the inspiring stuff :D
2.
What best way to celebrate than with some TED talks on Happiness? :D

**21DPC DAY 20**
1) My longtime Internet friend who I've had the most amazing conversations with. We exchanged a few emails yesterday, talking about...err..sex! We love controversy! ^.^
2) My bf. But he's gone home for the holidays and hasn't been online for days it seems :(
3) No obvious candidate here. But I really appreciate the wealth of talks by inspirational people on the Internet, mostly because they will *always* be available (except in case of Internet failure). I watched several videos yesterday and they make me feel so alive, in addition to being educational ^.^

How to spend more time - first and third are easy, the second is not online much and unfortunately I don't get to spend as much time with him as I'd like. But that's his free will, so I'll have to cherish the time we are together and find something else to do in the meantime.

Positive yday: finally had a day all to myself with nothing arranged, so I could take a nice rest :)

**21DPC DAY 19**
1) They have no reason not to give me the loan, because I fulfil all requirements. Also, people in my department *will* want me to continue my studies and the university could probably sort out some accommodation if worst comes to worst.
2) I'll keep trying new recipes and ask for help from fellow vegetarians :)
3) I'm already on my way to helping the world. And even little things count, so I'm changing the world for the better every day! :)

Positive yesterday: played Space Alert with the one society still active on holidays. It's truly the most epic and creative boardgame/team-building exercise I know of! :D

**21DPC DAY 18**
This is similar to the "1 frustrating thing", no?

1) I don't have enough money and I'm waiting for the student loan :| (still)
2) I can't cook very well and I wish I could. Would make life so much healthier but most recipes just don't work with me.
3) I'd like to help the world but I'm still unqualified to do anything big.

I do that task all the time anyway - often catching myself on negative thoughts and then arguing with myself a bit :D

Positive yday: friend's bday party with vegan cooking! Also met a political philosopher there who's currently writing a dissertation on natural diversity (of professions), which I find really interesting!! Added him on FB :)

**21DPC DAY 17**
Watching Big Bang Theory! :D
Also some lecturers and certain friends. Sometimes I myself too :P
And daily webcomics. Therefore, this was a pretty easy task ;)

Yesterday's ++: allotment party! We got some things planted and cleared out the hedge to allow our brambles to grow. It's looking better and better!! :)

**21DPC DAY 16**
My favourite pastime is talking with conscious people!! :)
Yesterday I did talk to several people, some of whom I'd consider conscious. Perhaps not my personal favourites but it was really good nevertheless - it's good as long as they're reasonably close to my cons. level :)
How can I do this more often? By contacting people and arranging to meet of course! I've contacted several folks and gonna meet at least 2 lecturers. I dunno them too well but I'll try my best to have a good conversation :)

Positive: netball match between staff and students! Followed by drinks in a pub (on them!) Really happy I went - got to socialise with people I wouldn't normally interact with. Even had some discussion about the course with the 2nd and 3rd years (well, that was the most obvious common ground...)

**21DPC DAY 15**
I'll leave out people from my past, cause I don't feel any grudges against them and they aren't in my life anymore. Instead, there's this girl who sometimes annoys me by not having anything smart to say and having a very annoying laugh. I had a few words with her this Wednesday and thought she was talking too much about things I didn't find interesting. But yes, I also thought I could really let go of this negativity. I guess positive about her is that she comes to such events where we discuss really intelligent stuff. I'll try to talk to her more when the holidays are over :)

Positive of day 15: enjoyed the Language lecture where we watched clips featuring sign language (in one clip, the kids were signing-singing Lennon's Imagine and the lecturer admitted he cried the first few times he watched it - very brave!!). Also met my employer and talked for hours, it must have been!! and auditioned for yet two more plays.

**21DPC DAY 14**
Ooooh, tough one. I'll list the first 5 that come to mind and see how it goes...
1) Being allowed to do things I love, be it Psychology or general discussions about the world with the awesome people in my life.
2) The learning possibilities in the world. Being able to study abroad, borrow books from a library, find information online, talking to other intelligent people with their own passions.
3) The ever-more-aware society of people accomplishing wonderful feats, pursuing great causes, solving critical problems. I'm hoping to meet many of them on my life journey and have the chance to work together on great things :)
4) The beauty of certain things in our world. By beauty I mean not only visual but also music, food, humour, etc. That we can enjoy these things and delight in the cleverness of creation.
5) Being a strong individual. Having realised that I'm responsible for my life, that my choices are mine to make, that it's OKAY and actually necessary to make mistakes, that I can speak out what I think and feel without feeling embarrassment for anything that I am.

I think the best way to show gratitude for all this is by making the best use of what's been provided and feeling worthy for all of it :D

Positive yesterday: Philosophy discussion on education. We seemed to agree that there's certain things that should be taught to everyone to make them fully functioning citizens (politics!) and that it must not be restricted to the upper classes. Also, individual abilities should be considered, not going with a one size fits all approach. And we should teach them ethics based on Pokemon...

Wait, what? O.o

**21DPC DAY 13**
Criticism? I like it a lot when it's honest and gives me guidelines on how to improve! I wouldn't like people to pretend everything is okay and then act obviously different! Almost as if they had confirmation bias and they don't want me to become better and prove their initial impression wrong...
I can't think of any recent criticisms, though I've asked. Which is a bummer, cause I know I'm not perfect yet! In the past, I think the one I heard most was "you should look more feminine", which is actually far from construstive criticism; just some men living out their gender stereotypes. What I picked up from there though was that sometimes it's fun to experiment with looks and I should not feel that people won't take me seriously if I work on my looks. Which is a stereotype I actually have myself - that women who spend too much time on their looks can't do anything else well. Which is certainly true for many of them, sadly *feminist rage*.
Positive yesterday - met some friends; went to an event where a pro-vice-chancellor was speaking. Nothing spectacular.

**21DPC DAY 12**
Less complaining, more seeing the good in things :)
A friend of mine told me about a Non-Complaining Challenge where you go as long as you can without complaining (not even in your head). I can barely make it past Day 1!!
But I keep trying to catch myself from thinking negative. Then turn it into a joke or something :D
Positive yday: wrote most of my report. Only need to do the stats today, write the results and hopefully hand it in!
