Dear Diary,

This is the new beginning. This the time. The time is now.

Why did I let all the problems affect my health and looks? I used to be so happy and gorgeous...

Enough with the self-pitty and stress-eating!

I want to do so many things in life, i`m young (and restless ;) ), but i haven`t done anything I wanted because of becoming overweighed and losing the confidence I once had in myself.

But thanks to Celestina and all these ambitious people here, dear Diary, i`m SURE i will make it! I will be again the beautiful confident girl who could do everything she wanted, who believed in herself and who made everything easier for her and for everybody with just a smile!

Health is everything, health is living.

So there went 2 days by already...

I drank my water and counted my calories. :) i`m a good girl :)

I really feel the need to get a detoxifiation. I`m thinking lots of fruit and vegetables would be great for my body. It`s like it`s talking to me: "Hey, gurl, gimmie so fruit lovin`!" :)) Yeah, i`ll give you some! Oranges..mmm, yummy! Some salad for lunch, what do you say? "Oh yeah!" :)) Maybe some workout after courses?

Guys, i have a question for you.

I`ve got a blender and i want to make some fruit smoothies. My question is... how? Do i put the fruits and blend? Or do i have to add some water, too?

Could you give me some recipes? (or "receipts", what`s the right word?)
Looking forword to your ideas!

I love meeting somebody else from Romania (I know there some more Romanians here, but I didn`t talk with them until now).
Your diary is beautiful, thank you so much for sharing it.. and heartily congratulations for your progress, I didn`t work on the calories task until now so I really admire you for doing it and for drinking water also!:clap:

It`s great that you have a blender, I`m not sure how it`s working yours, but my blender requires some liquid inside of it.. I used to put yogurt with bananas inside(this is very sweet), or oranges, kiwis, apples and any available fruit.. You can add some honey or ice if you want. Just try a combination and see how it tastes and if you like it - I did the same.
Celes and Glenn are making themselves smoothies, maybe you can ask them more about it if you want. I just searched with google and I found a Romanian site with 28 smoothie recipes also: here, everything looks delicious and easy to do on it.. I really hope this helps and that you`ll soon enjoy one of those goodies.. :heart:

Agree with Andreea :) Mine needs water or it's more of a puree-thingy... Where I live, when I order it at a street stall, they sometimes use coconut milk instead of plain milk or water, which is uber yummy but also different on the calorie-fat account (need to check it out).

I didn't write about what I can not do, but about what I CAN do. I won`t think about the interdictions, because, you know, what isn't allowed is more tempting. Too bad it doesn't apply to healthy food or exercising: maybe "You are not allowed to go to gym!" would've made us more eager to exercise... Or maybe "Don't eat that carrot!" would've increased our appetite for vegetables... :twisted:

Hi Tzuculina! (awesome name btw, I thought you were Aztec : ))
I love smoothies and one of my favorites is this avocado one:

1/2 an avocado
a small banana
a table spoon of sesame seeds
2 glasses of milk
2 dates

Otherwise I like to mix frozen mango, milk and a little bit of sugar... In Brazil they call it vitamina.
Or acai, with banana, milk and honey.

My god, there are so many good ones, I'm getting hungry now...

Aztec? :)))))) i`m romanian and smoothies aren't so popular here :).

Ha! I never thought that sesame seeds would go with a smoothie! Ah, I can't wait to go to the supermarket and get all these ingredients for making lots of smoothies!

Btw, what are "dates"?

It`s 12.51 am here... I should have been sleeping. I went to sleep early (at 9 pm) and a i had a nightmare. Awful. I woke up and ate 3 sandwiches. I knew i`d feel very bad afterwards. But i felt like i really needed those sandwiches to get me through the nightmare, to forget it. It was a very disturbing dream and i felt really upset...
Now i`m just sad i ate those...

I'm sorry you had a nightmare. Sandwiches are ok, though.
I mean, you could have had enormous quantities of ice cream instead. It was still food.

Dates are this fig-like dried fruit from the Middle East : )

Dear Diary,

I kind of neglected you, but I must tell you that I didn't abandon 21DHL. It's just that I had some personal problems and now I've got a very bad cold and an ugly allergy... :( But this healthy eating will make me stronger and more immune! Now i`m taking this medicine for the allergy which does not allow me to eat not even 0.001 grams of sugar or salt, so I take this as a good thing: I'll lose the appetite for sweets or too salty food more rapidly.
It's different when there's also a doctor who tells you you're not allowed to eat this or that. It makes you be more faithful to your new life-style.
Although I don't wish anyone to be in the situation of needing a doctor!

Good luck continuing your plans, colleagues!

I'm sorry you got sick, because I really enjoy reading your journal. :(
There is a silver lining to it though, with the doctor's ordering you to stop eating sugar and salt. I hope you get well soon and continue the journey with us.
