I've started this thread to help me continue to make changes and consciously shift the path of my life the way I want it!!
I'll be posting my goals soon!! :D

Hello Sejal,

Are you accepting applications for a hard working sailor helper?
You seem to be a very lovely traveller on the stormy seas of life.
And I find purging my thoughts and airing my synapses quite therapeutic.
Let me know..

Ahoy!

I'd absolutely love a hard working sailor helper!!!
Btw, I love your name as it is!
What kind of a name are you looking for?

Its Day-21 of the challenge...
The final day!!
Oh man, I'm so happy even when I'm doing my house-chores...
In fact, I find I'm more happy when I'm working and moving around getting stuff done!
I'm so happy its bordering on delirious and I swear I haven't taken anything funny :P
I think its the fact that the currents are shifting, a strong wind is blowing in my favor, AND I CAUSED IT!!!!!

I am so glad that you've found such enthusiasm. We're all here to cheer you on so you keep that wind a'blowing.

What are your plans now that 21DHL is coming to a close?

Thanks Moira!
I think I'm gonna give me another 21 days to set my new habits in stone!!
While I'm at it, I'll toss around some new ideas in my head and figure out what I want to do next and formulate a plan for it. (what kind of sailor sets out without a compass and a map!!)
I'll need a few pointers though..
What did you do in between challenges??

Actually I'm not a big challenge sort of person as much as some of the others here on the forums. I like to think of it is making habits. I tend to do these habits one or two at a time and once I feel I've gotten something down I like to add on top of it. Last year I started writing every morning when I first woke up to clear my head and once I had gotten into that habit, I added at least ten minutes of yoga every morning. I actually stayed in those habits for a long time while I was working 6-7 days a week. So it's definitely doable, but I did drop off after a while.

There are some people here who would be better to ask if you enjoy the challenge aspect of it.

Well, the most important thing to me is to constantly feel like I'm growing. I hate it when things start to get stagnant. Even if its just a shift for the better in the way I think, that's counted. In fact, it is one of the more prized accomplishments, to me anyway....
I did some looking around in PE and I came across this Journalism challenge done last nov. I saw the tasks assigned and I have to say those questions really hit me (in a good way). Do you know if the challenge is happening again some time? Cause if its not, I'm just gonna go ahead with it by myself. I feel I need to because it'll help me get to know me better and that's how I can set proper goals for myself! :)
Drank tomato n pumpkin juice with a little salt!! Not bad!! :D

We're all a bunch of loonies here on these forums. I mean, making an actual effort - that's insane! ;)

Hah! It's funny how amazing that moving forward and growing as a person can make you feel. Feeling this good is usually ingrained into us by society to be thought of as being wrong. But life is worth leading and leading well, right?

I am sure you will figure out what works best for you. Just start something and keep trying and if that method of moving forward doesn't work that well for you, let go and move on. I think that's one of the hardest lessons, when to give up and try again in a smarter way!

Alright! I have set this as Day-1 of my personal Journalism Challenge. Honestly, I'd rather be in a challenge conducted by Celes where so many people are with me doing the same thing. I guess I'll really miss that kind of encouragement and motivation.
Anyway, before I start off the new challenge, I have to say I'm proud to announce that the Monday blues did not get me down this time!! I stuck to all my newly-acquired habits!!! Though, my posture really needs some working on. :P

DAY-1

The question today is "What Would You Do If You Have 1 Million Dollars?". Before I jumped into it, I took a deep breath, cleared my head and used my imagination. I almost cried! Sheesh! Who knew I'd be such a cry-baby! But yea, I was moved by how close to perfection my life would be.
Here we go. If I had a million dollars, I would put part of it in a savings account and get the worry about the future out of the way. I'd pay off my student loan so I won't have a burden to carry. I don't know for sure if a million is enough but I'd like to set up a meditation/reiki centre-a place of healing and also an orphanage-a place of nurturing. These two things are important to me because I see how much it is needed. But I really won't be satisfied if I don't lead a life of learning: that includes doing a course in psychology, learning the violin, going for archery classes, carpentry classes as well, dance classes, learning things like pottery, sculpting, etc. Oh and I better not forget to do a course in fashion designing, architecture, interior designing and genetics. Phew! Finally, I'll save some for when I get my guy, then I'll make sure we get a nice cozy house with a garden. Yes, the garden is very important. The well-being of my soul depends on it!!
That, my friends, is all I'll do with a million dollars. Funny how giving money to my relatives and friends didn't come up here. Selfish, selfish!! I also see that I have the "Jack of all trades, Master of none"-potential. I guess that's not good but I suppose not doing what I love won't help me much either. Lastly, I see that I don't really need a million dollars. Where there is a will, there is a way, right?? Who said money was the only means??
:)

The journalism challenge looks like fun :D
I might do that if I get some time (which won't be for a while :()

With a million dollars, would you live anywhere exotic/different than where you are now?

Wow!! Interesting what you'd do with that much money! :D
Oh oh! If you need a partner to set up that reiki/meditation center, count me in!! :D

Of course, Kristen! Let me know when you start and I'll come cheer you on!!
N yea, I like to live somewhere near the jungles actually.
I once went to a friends place. The forest ends in her backyard and lots of deer, elephants, wild dogs and sometimes tigers visit her place!!! Just a few yards away is a beautiful stream running down from the mountain behind her house. It was truly magical. I felt so at home. :D
*Sigh!*

ps. where would you want to live??
--------------------------------------------
Hey Nimz!!
If ever I get the opportunity, my first choice would be you!!
Why don't we come up with ideas for it!?!
I bet just making a rough sketch of it would be like submitting a request to the universe!!! :P
What say??
And what would you do with the money?
----------------------------------------------------

This is DAY-2 and I have to admit I almost lost to laziness today! I was so sleepy and I really didn't want to go to work or exercise but managed to kick some sense into me!! My meditation was a little messed up cuz the driver turned up the radio while I was meditating in the car. But other than that my day went quite well.

ANALYSIS:
Here is where I analyze my previous post according to the information posted for the 2nd day. So what I got from the question I answered yesterday was...
* I need to stop worrying if I'll run out of money in the future. 'Cause apparently, that fear is holding me back.
* I need to set up small regular payments to my student loan and take my mind off it and move on with life.
* I need to make a vision board from my meditation centre and orphanage and create a list for the things I want to do and prioritize them so I don't overload myself.
* Finally, I need to make sure I do all of this once this challenge is over.

DAY-2 Task-->

Today's question is "If You Are To Do Something For Free For the Rest of Your Life, What Would It Be?"

My answer to this is quite simple. Its to do with running the meditation centre and orphanage. Of course, it does take money to run it but I really don't mind if I don't get paid for it. In fact, anything to do with counseling or teaching, especially little children and teenagers, is something I'd really love to do. Seeing the result of my efforts would be payment enough for me. I don't even mind being a nanny! I'm serious!!:P Oh and this doesn't mean I have mommy-instincts or anything. Its just that I know how important guidance and love is and I know how hard it is to come by as well!
I'd also like to create things for people once in a while. Yup, I think that would be very nice!!

Oooh OOOH!! I forgot to mention gardening. I'd really really really love to do that.
Its kind of therapeutic to me!! :D
Maybe one day, I'll find myself tending to the gardens in my meditation centre and orphanage!! Maybe......

You are such a kind and giving person; I don't think just because you wouldn't give money to people doesn't mean you are selfish. Certainly the idea of setting up an orphanage doesn't seem like the sort of thing a selfish person would do to me. And I cannot imagine that running a reiki center would allow you to be selfish either, too many bad vibes.

It seems to me like you want to belong to a community that you are able to give back to. And that's an admirable dream. Definitely not selfish at all.

Awww! Thanks, Moira! Its just that even when I noticed that I totally forgot about giving money to close ones, I still didn't want to add it to the list. It gets last priority after me and my community. If its not selfish, I wonder what it says about me.... Hmmmm...... I think I'll leave that question for later.

Maybe it's because you trust the people closest to you to be strong enough to make it without your support and you'd rather give back to the community? Honestly, I could get behind that theory because it's close to how I would think. I'd save my charity for the people who would need it and the community that I want to help tend and grow. And certainly there is nothing wrong with that.

That sounds like where I used to live in South Sulawesi. There was a jungle right near my house. No big animals in it but it was next to this great huge freshwater lake that was warm, safe and pristine.

I've always wanted to live in Europe and this year I'm hopefully going to move to the Netherlands for University (followin' my dreams OuO). If I had a million dollars (or a fair bit of cash) it would be WAY more affordable...

Oooh! You are so lucky!! Go ahead, follow your dreams, hon!!
They say all you need to do is take the first step, the rest falls into place (I'm so hoping this is true!)
Well, Day 3 is here and I haven't kept up with my meal plan at all! This was partially because of my upset tummy(yesterday's sprouts weren't ready to eat I guess) and my haywire schedule at work. My mood however was great! A customer flirted with me over the phone :P. Nice guy. Probably didn't know he was old enough to be my father. Also we got off calls quite early to attend our Republic day celebration!! It was a lively day.....

ANALYSIS:
Based on what I wrote for the last question..., looks like a need a career change. Not now of course. I'm yet to figure out how this should be done, after all, I have a loan to close. Lets see.....

DAY-3 Task-->

The question is, "What is Your Ideal Diet Like?"
This is also an easy one!! My ideal diet is the same thing I've been following in my 21DHL. :D

OK. Gotta go... must....get......sleeeeeep :P
