It has been a GREAT week! I have a big list of things i'm grateful for!!

I am going to make it a point to only mention what good things i did, so that my thoughts would be focused on the good, and more good things will come my way!

The things that r not on the progress list, will be the things i will focus on this coming week!

Week 1 Progress
  • I made use of all opportunities i got, to be physically active all week! I did well. *pats back*
  • I was aware of my thoughts and i was able to replace many of my 'negative' thoughts to good ones! My friend helped me with this, making sure to stop me when i started talking negative :D
  • I made sure i read one or more inspiring quotes each day :)
  • I thanked for all the things that well during the day, before i went to sleep!
  • i took ACTION. Instead of making a long to-do list. I just went ahead and did all the things i could and kept the list super-short. Like, i kept thinking about printing my vision board and sticking in my room. But a few days back, i just scrapped it off my list and ran to the store and took a print out! It's so great to see it everyday when i wake up now!

Things i'm grateful for this week :

- I am getting cross-trained into a new department and people are praising me for my work and encouraging me!! It feels great!

-- I found a great store where they sell a variety of herbal and green teas, tabouleh, whole grain crackers, JAPANESE food and so on!!

- My friend thanked me for helping him understand the power of thoughts and intention and all that i told him about. Although it took a while for him to admit all that. He now wants to try and go for a meditation class and is SOoo much positive and happy than he used to be!

Affirmation: I'm grateful for all this and i am happy that things are getting better and better and Better everyday in everyway! :)

-- Winter is over, summer is here! I just love soaking in the sun...soaking in the warmth! It gives me hope and puts a smile on my face.

Hey Nimi, good to hear about all your good progress in Week 1!

Wow~~ I'm the opposite with you, I wish to experience the cold weather, as it is always hot in Malaysia here. :P I hope that I would have a chance to look at snow dropping from the sky... Haha~ Wish you have a happy summer!

I've been so busy with work and working on my goals that i didn't get time to post :P
Firstly, i'll share the music thats been in my head this whole week! ---

Warning: Video contains spoilers!

Have been watching a lot of ghibli movies. They make me feel so happy! Especially Spirited away and The secret of Arriety! And the music is sooo good! Its helped me keep up my happy mode :D  *Jumps in joy*

Music has such a deep effect on people, its amazing how much it can help a person if they listen to the right music, i.e happy cheery music

I can feel Everything is getting better and better and better! My path is clear and there's light guiding me on the way!

Honestly, i have not done ALL or MANY of the things i've listed as my goals..but i did much more and what matter is that i feel good in the end, right? :D

What i did do is --

- Took care of many pending tasks that were bugging me.
- Stopped myself many times from negative self-talk.
- Whenever i caught myself complaining about others, i stopped and focused on the good side of them.
Affirmation i use -- I make every act, an act of love
- Sleep with a smile on my face...being in the attitude of gratitude :)
- Read something inspiring everyday
- Appreciate little things in life... :)

Things i'm grateful for lately-

- I've been giving my best at work and getting a lot of compliments on my work from my seniors! This is encouraging!
- My closest friend has been doing really great and keeps thanking me a lot for helping him change the way he things. He says my patience has paid off. His positive outlook and energy now helps me to stay positive!!

Affirmation for the day-
"I am at Peace
Divine peace and harmony surround me and dwell in me. I feel tolerance, compassion, and love for all people, myself included."

Ghibli movies!! I love them so much!! The movies really inspire me a lot!!

It's good to see you taking note on your negative thinking. I just read a book written by a monk from Japan. He encouraged us to take note on our breathing in our daily life. When we are happy, sad, excited, scare, etc, how fast / slow do we breathe? From there, we know that we should control our breathing in order to calm us down from our emotions. :) When we have negative thinking, we can also take note on our breathing, and calm down ourselves, keep us out of the negative mindset. I'm practicing that now too. ^^

Hi Nimi, it's been great reading your posts. It's the first time I heard of ghibli - thanks for that.
I quite share the feeling of Jaleen regarding weather - I'm desperately waiting for winter time - it's been terribly hot and humid here and I have not been able to go for walks during the day.

Which book is that? Sounds interesting! Taking note of breathing in different situations eh? Great tip! I'll try it out! I've actually been doing it once in a while. When i have headaches or am stressed, i do 5 mins of deep breathing, i feel instantly better! Its amazing, the power of good breathing! :D

Hehe, yea i know many people prefer winter :D I've actually gotten better at handling the cold now, but i still prefer the sun :P

Quick Progress update -
Its a great feeling having all your tasks on the TO DO list ticked off! :D
Don't you just hate that feeling when those little undone tasks bug you at the back of your mind. And if you leave it undone for a long time, you start feeling irritated and you might not even know why.
I figured, sometimes its best to just go ahead and DO it, rather than putting them away for later, because they're 'little' tasks.
For example, the tubelight in my room stopped worked. I only had a small bulb and the light was not sufficient. For more than a week, i just let it go on and all i did was complain! Finally y'day evening, i marched to the electrical shop and bought a new tubelight and fixed it myself, rather than waiting for my landlord to do it! And it felt SO great!

What i learnt -

The little things go a long way! Sometimes the little things in life are what make all the difference.

[Image: enjoy-life-for-one-day-youll-look-back1.jpg]

Affirmation to help dissolve my negative talk about others and myself -
"I release the need to blame anyone, including myself
We are all doing the best we can, with the understanding knowledge and awareness we have"

Hi Nimi, unfortunately, it is a Chinese book. The book mainly teaches us how to use our 6 senses to feel the world how we can control our 6 senses from letting ourselves to feel the anger, sadness, or any negative emotions. Those 6 senses are:
  1. Sight
  2. Hearing
  3. Smell
  4. Taste
  5. Touch
  6. Heart

I will try to write the summary in English once I finish reading the book. :)

I was in the valley for a while but now i'm up and back on my way to the PEAK! The past days haven't been too well but i'm glad i have people who help me come out of it. To make up for not posting for a while, i've decided to post my 21DPL answers here! -

What do you love most about your Mom?
There are so many things i love about my mom! She's like a best friend to me. She's always given me the freedom to tell her anything and is such a good listener.Whatever i ask for, if it is something i truly need, she would let me have it.
She inspires me with her strong and bold yet loving personality! Most of all, i love the fact that she uses the law of attraction in her life, which i only came to realise recently. When she had to pay off my college fees, she kept believing that money flowed to her whenever she required it. And it did! I'm so grateful to have a mom like her! I would give her a huge hug if she were here next to me.

What is the one thing that has been frustrating you lately? How can you overcome it?
What frustrates me is that i have not been able to sleep early or get up early like i want to.
I'm still trying to find ways to overcome it. I'm thinking of tring to use creative vizualisation for it. But somepart of me actually doesn't want to wake up early and so i fail to do well on the FEELING part of it. But i'm not giving up yet! :D

What makes you smile?
Dogs make me smile! Not just dogs..cute and funny animals make me smile.
[Image: cute-puppy-pictures-play-dead%255B1%255D.jpg]
You like? Check smiling dogs our, Here! :D
Also, My boyfriends smile..makes me smile! :D

What stresses me?Why? How can you overcome it?
Not much...i'm happy to realise i'm a very relaxed person. The only thing that stresses me is when i have too many things on my TO DO list and haven't really started on any yet. But the word stress is so strong for me to use here. I only feel a little stress not a lot.
The simple remedy for this - I prioritize the things i need to do and quickly work on the things i can get done soon. This instantly makes me de-stressed and better :D

Who inspires you? Why?
My friend Sejal and Suki inspire me. Buddha inspires me. My mom inspires me. The people here at PE inspire me. I can't think of just one person who i can give this credit too. Inspiring people are all around me and i'm grateful for that! All i need to do is be open for it and i see it in all sources :D

Are there any negative people in your life? Who are they? Why are they there?
I'm so happy to say, there aren't anymore! There WAS! But no more. It WAS my boyfriend, he was always negative about things and always worried about things. But i kept trying to change the way he things. Finally my patience paid off and we're both well on our way to more and more and MORE happiness!

Since DPL requires us to talk about 1 good things a day...i'll list the good things for the past week :D
- The womens day celebrations at the office was fun.
- I was glad that my boyfriend managed to stay calm and do his work well
- I excercised and felt good!
- I was close to being dragged into negativity but my boyfriend came to my rescue!

I'm making a list on 50 things i'm grateful for! I'll post it soon! :D

Hi, Nimi. Glad to hear that you and your mom have you student fees taken care of. Some people are stuck paying them for decades!

It's good that you are limiting negative self talk. Are you using the same positive affirmations everyday now?

I love smiling dogs too!

Hey Matt! I've seen that video before :D Adorable doggie!
Yes, actually i've made a list of 5 things i want to change about myself. And im making affirmations for them. But i've been spending too much time on making them - searching online, my books and so on. I think i'm being picky about them :P Till i make my set of "perfect" affirmations , i've been listening to the "Perfect Day meditation". It has a lot of good affirmations and its a great meditation to start my day with! :)

HEllo PE-WorLD!

I'm back from my unannounced blogging break (Ok..fine! I slacked off :P)
Whoa! Its already been 5 months!!! During this long break i have survived valleys and climbed peaks, t'was a journet with many ups and downs, but now i'm back and ready for a new challange! :D
Along with my friend Suki(suki_anya), who's finally back with me! We shall start off on our challanges and conquer the wooorld! Muahaha! Ok.. *ahem*
Its great to have a friend you can be yourself with, be looney and talk in gibberish and still be able to understand each other
It would have been even more fun if Sejal could join us here!

[Image: beautiful-friends-girls-happy-smiles-Fav...242088.jpg]

SO, i always have some online motivation that inspires me to start off with challanges, and this time its THIS site -- http://www.gratitudechallenge.com/
A movement, a 21-day challange you can take up to help you take note of the brighter side of life!
I love the calendar with tasks assigned for 21 days and the pledge.
I started of with it y'day! :D The challange requires u to "Take note, give thanks"
This time i'll be writing the journal entries in my 'gratitude journal' but i'll be posting about my experience here.

I was planning on doing the gratitude challenge, but then i came across the 30BBM program. I had no plans of joining at first, but considering how i was feeling my thoughts were pretty messy and i needed to sort them out badly, i decided to join.
SO now its done and i truly feel i am a Better me than Before!
I'm grateful for having joined it and I'm looking forward to the re-runs!

Now i can continue with the previous plan of doing the Gratitude challenge and I've already started! :)

I've finished two tasks. Yesterdays task was fun. I had to write down things I'm thankful for starting with each of 26 alphabets, i.e, 26 things.

I'm writing in my gratitude diary more often! I've been doing regular exercise for the past two weeks, 3 times a week and i feel great.
I've been sleeping better and i don't stay up too late anymore (except for on weekends :P)

And yesterday, me and suki_anya treated ourselves to a Swedish massage spa as it was on a great offer. It was very relaxing and i felt it was a treat to myself for performing well in 30BBM. I feel extremely refreshed today and I've decided if i keep doing well in the future and continue growing better and better everyday, i would reward myself again. That would serve as a motivation as well
