My New Years 'Resolutions'

I have decided that this year I plan to go on a journey of self-discovery in aid of helping myself become the best version of myself that I can be.

In order to help achieve this, I am planning on working my way through the '101 Important Questions To Ask Yourself In Life', work through the 30DLBL program, participate in any active challenges throughout the year that I believe will be beneficial to me.

And most of all, I plan on actually sticking with the plan - I have proven to be quite terrible at keeping a journal in the past.
Question 1 - Who are you?

I am a 20 year old female. I find it hard to map out a clear path for the future as I find myself enjoying and being at least moderately successful in many different fields of work and study. I tend to thrive under pressure and responsibility, but at times have managed to crack under it. I enjoy immersing myself in cooking, music, movies and books to help myself unwind.

What can I take from this?
I need to pay more attention to the way stress affects me, and be prepared with techniques to help ease my stress levels and its effects. I also need to take some more 'me' time to help keep a healthy life balance, and may need to address some time management issues to help achieve this.

What can I start doing tomorrow to help better myself based on this?

Work on a time management time to balance the demands of work, study and personal time. Continue practicing stress management techniques that I have been trying to use - deep breathing, and turning negative thoughts into more positive aspirations

Question 2 - What are you passionate about?

I am passionate about my job, anbout my aspirations to life a good life, about cooking, about learning.

What can I take from this?
That there are many aspects of my life that I am passionate about - and should try and find more satisfaction from doing these things.

What can I start doing tomorrow to help better myself based on this?

Try and think about how much I enjoy doing things in day-to-day life when I do them

Question 3 - What are the achievements you are most proud of?

Well, I guess most of all surviving my first 20 years of life. I am proud of being who I am, I am proud of my on-going achievements in both my work and academic lifes.

What can I take from this?

I find it hard to find actual events or the like, to be considered achievements in my eyes. I tend to see the achievement to be the journey and hard-work that leads up to a recognised "achievement".

What can I start doing tomorrow to help better myself based on this?

Perhaps it's time to try and take pleasure from the recognition after the journey, not just the journey itself.

Hey Jess,
It is great that you are going on this self-discovery journey!
I think its absolutely perfect for building a rock-solid foundation for yourself...
I'm currently doing something similar as well.
I decided to take on the journaling challenge even though its over now.

I recommend that you think about answering these questions too cuz these questions require a little digging and the answers you come up with might even surprise you.
