Music

Hi everyone! I hope you guys are as excited as I am to give this challenge a shot. I've tried meditating on and off for the past 2 years and with a busy schedule it never sticks. I'm hoping this challenge will change that. (I love a challenge) I would like to make this a daily routine for me. I am open to try all types of meditation - so if you have one you enjoy doing please share. :)

Hopefully I can finally clear the clutter from this monkey mind!

Good luck!

So I am catching up here since I don't have the net at mi casa. Work is the only place to get it and even then it's not guaranteed (you know how bosses are). So here it goes...

Saturday's Meditation -
I first did yoga to ease my mind into it. I focused on breathing with a 30 minute yoga routine. After this I did as much meditation as I could with the time left which was about 7 minutes.
I don't know if it was the yoga + meditation or just the meditation but I felt wonderful for the entire day! Nothing could get me down. I think it was me actually taking the time out to do the meditation that made it that much greater. Every day I "plan" to meditate but I snooze or make other lame excuses that keep me from accomplishing it! My mind was crisp and clear; I swear I got an unimaginable amount of things accomplished that day. Loved It!!

Sunday's Meditation -
So instead of meditating I did the same yoga routine (about 20 - 30 min) I did the day before but without the instructer. I've done this routine so many times that I basically have it memorized (I made up a wee lil bit of it) and I was naturally able to just focus on breathing and really clear the clutter from my brain! This was awesome. I was actually able to finish the entire sequence with my eyes closed!! It felt great and my body and my mind seemed to really enjoy it like it was food for the soul.

Monday's Meditation -
Lack there of. Did not get to meditate. :(

Tuesday's Meditation -
Haven't yet but it's first on my list for when I get home. Especially since I missed it yesterday.

Day 4 - Tuesday's Meditation

Meditated for about 15-20 minutes. Attempted a guided meditation app on my phone which I had to cut off after a minute of it - the music was to upbeat for me to relax!!! So I downloaded another guided meditation app which I did a lot better with. It was still a bit fast paced for me but I learned a new way to meditate in the process! :) It required me to visualize and repeat in my mind the number 3, 3 times... then the number 2, 3 times... then the number one 3 times. There was a part in it where he said to imagine you are at the top of a staircase. There are 15 stairs. You step down the stairs one by one and each stair takes you further into the spiriual realm. ... I didn't feel like I was in the spiritual realm but the visualization worked well as I felt I was deeper and deeper into the meditation. Overall I didn't feel much different afterwords, but I'm hoping after attempting this one again I'll get better at it.
Day 5 - Wednesday's Meditation

I meditated for about 5 minutes this morning before getting ready for work. I realize I like morning meditation much more. It clears my head for the day and mentally prepares me for struggles I may encounter. I tend to handle situations much more calmly and can have a better focus on the task at hand. I hoping to do another meditation sesh on my lunch break.. wish me luck! ;)

Hey Texas, thanks for the updates :D

Do you think I can download the same meditation session on a computer, without an app? I'm trying to find cool meditation mp3 but not sure where to look for.

Keep it on :)

Not sure but I have a feeling you might be able to since it's by Burt Goldman "The American Monk". He's the guy who also teaches people about Quantum Jumping if you have ever heard of it - interesting stuff and has the same idea of meditation. If you look him up I would think you could find them.

The names of the meditations on the app are called "The Spiritual Dimension", "Journey into the Soul", and "Healing Meditation". The Spiritual Dimension is the one I did.

I hope that helps make it easier to find!! :)
