In How To Meditate in 5 Simple Steps, I shared a few of useful, free meditation resources:
If any of you know of other free meditation resources, please post them in this thread and I'll add them to the list. This is to share with all other members on 21DMC journey. Please only recommend it if you use it and can attest to its quality. Thanks!

Several high quality podcasts are free. My two favorites are "Meditation Station" by Stin Hansen and "Mindful Meditations" which is created by the Mindful Awareness Research Center (MARC) at UCLA http://marc.ucla.edu/. Both of these series can be downloaded free from iTunes.
The guided meditations I use are mostly iPhone apps, but they are not free. However I highly recommend "Simply Being - Guided Meditation for Relaxation and Prescence" made by Meditation Oasis. There is a lot of good information on their website. http://www.meditationoasis.com/
Also an excellent resource on meditation for beginners is a book called "Real Happiness: The Power of Meditation" by Sharon Salzburg. Don't be put off by the title. It clearly explains what meditation is, what it's not, and very lovingly takes you through all the steps. It is not preachy or religious, it's very neutral. If you buy the book, it comes with CDs of guided meditations. If you download the book on Kindle, like I did, then you can still access the guided meditations online.
Hope this helps.

Hi
I found a couple of websites. Fragrant Heart has lots of stuff about meditation and has produce a series of short meditations that can be downloaded from the site. A great website for all manner of meditation information is Wild Mind Buddhist Meditation. Bodhi Paksa has such a lovely voice, sort of a Scottish lilt , his guided meditation on loving kindness is one of my favourites. I also have a guided meditation cd by Glen Harrold. I use one of them if i can't sleep. It is similar to the sanctuary setting that 360minutes speaks of his posts about meditation techniques, it creates a scene. I can't even tell you about the whole thing because i have never managed to stay awake, though it always wakes you up at the end, but then i can always get back to sleep after it which i find so weird. Anyway these have worked for me so far. I am really interested to try some new ones, though for these 21 days i will try to do at least one session a day without guidance. That is the real challenge for me. Good luck to everyone.

No problem - Thanks so much for sharing, Polly! I included the Wildmind and Fragrant Heart links which are free. Seems like Glenn's meditation tracks cost money, so I've not included in the list above (since it's on free guided meditation resources).

The Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Workbook by Bob Stahl & Elisha Goldstein. It comes with a CD which contains over 20 random guided meditations (body scans, loving kindness, breathing meditation, yoga meditation, etc.). The workbook helps you journal your progress and has tons of tips! I've been using this workbook/CD for over a year now and it never gets old!

Any recordings you can find by meditation expert Chris Chroniak. He has a great way of relaxing you with his voice and bringing your attention inward.
Any readings by Jon Kabat-Zinn, the guru of mindfulness meditation in the United States. (Although I wouldn't get any of his recordings...he has a tendency to talk to much in them )
One more...The Shambhala Meditation Center has locations around the world which offer free meditation sessions in a Tibetan Buddhist style available to the public. A main player in meditation instruction, Pema Chodron is associated with the Shambala Mediation centers.

I came across a two meditation videos by Eckhart Tolle's friend Kim Eng. One is a simple guided breathing breathing meditation and the other is called whole body breathing which can be done either sitting down or standing up. (I just did the second one standing up and I recommend trying it once.)
Hi Celes. I'm not able to find the old Discover Meditation series anymore. When I downloaded it several months ago I remember it being several mp3 files to be completed over a period of a week. It was a great introduction to meditation. Now when I enter my name and email in that link you provided I only have access to a single 14 minute mp3 file. I wonder if the old one I used is no longer available or if I'm just missing it.

Hey Matt! I just tried and got the same result. I guess the owner took that off for some reason. It's a pity! I don't have the original files which I got from long ago (I had the complete collection, in fact - 10 files). But at least there's a 14 minute long demo, so it's better than nothing.
Thanks so much for sharing the videos! I'll include in the resources above.

I was able to find the Discover meditation series. It's actually still available on their forums here but you must sign up for the forums to be able to download it. It's also available here without the need to sign up for anything. I haven't listened to this in several months but I plan on listening to first mp3 today and the rest over the next few days.
Update:
Actually it appears the link Celes provided is for 14 minutes of meditation music. The full Discover Meditation course is still provided for free if you like their Facebook Page. (Click the link on the left that says Free Meditation Course.)

I have to agree with AH, Meditation Oasis is a great resource on meditation! I've been using an app of theirs on my Android phone, Relax and Rest, and bought it later as the trial period was over. Mostly used it to fall asleep in the evening.
The website however has a lot of podcasts to download for free, which are mostly all guided meditations:
Meditation Oasis
Enjoy!
