Hello All - I am starting the challenge a little late, but as the old saying goes: better late than never. I have been meditating on and off now for about 6 months but when I read article by Celes about Steve Jobs I saw the link to the 21 day challange and decided to make a concerted effort to make mreditation a part of my everyday routine...to make it a habit. (another old saying seems apropo: the journey of a thousand miles starts with the first step.) - so here I am.
1) Why I want to cultivate meditation?
Ultimately, I want to be a better me. Because when I am a better me I am a better husband to my wife; a better father to my children; a better friend to all and a better more useful and valued employee to the company I work for.
2) Time of my daily meditation?
I will meditate twice daily: first in the morning before my stretching at 5:05 AM. This will just be a 10 minute meditation to help me put my body into the correct balance. Then I will start to mediate sometime between 10:00 and 10:30 PM every evening. I will use this meditation exercise to clear my mind and body of the daily stresses and to re-balance my body, mind and spirit.
3) Duration?
Morning: 10 minutes
Evening: 15 minutes +; with a goal after 30 days of 45 minutes (and yes, I know the challenge is 21 days).
4) Type of meditation?
Morning: Empty mind using alpha-wave music
Evening: Mindfulness
5) What I expect to get out of my meditation journey?
Dinah Maria Craik wrote '...it is never too late to be what you might have been...'
I want to be the man I have always envisioned myself to be. To accomplish ALL the goals. To achieve ALL the dreams. And, to push beyond any of the limitations which I have placed upon myself. I believe that meditation and continuous self-examination and evaluation is the basis to achieve these goals.
This is my first thread ever, so any feedback would be appreciated.

Hi Ish, thank you for the tip. Is there a way to move this to the Meditation challenge?
