The 30DLBL journey presented itself to me at the perfect moment, along with other circumstances that were occurring at the time. It caused me to move into high gear on a project that had been lying dormant within me for years, perhaps even a decade. I committed myself to it's completion, at least the part that was within my control and now, I have to wait...:exclamation:

Then, the thought crossed my mind, in the quietness of my kitchen...after my son had gone to bed and I was alone with my thoughts...that I am fighting for my life. You know, the life that I desire to have. I am fighting for love:heart:...I am fighting for success:angel:....I am fighting for happiness:D
. And as I thought more about this, it seemed a bit odd to me. Why did I formulate the thought using the word 'fight'?
Within, there is a constant pushing against or pushing forward toward what I desire, what I feel that I am destined to achieve. And to be honest, sometimes that can be quite exhausting. I think what is most exhausting to me is that...I believe that when you are on the journey toward fulfilling your purpose, it shouldn't feel like a fight. Maybe I'm a being a bit naive, but it seems that life purposes would be a little more harmonious...that situations and circumstances would come into alignment. On the flipside, I know that oftentimes, adversity may come to put us on the right track, to stretch our abilities and imaginations far beyond our own expectations and had it not been for the adversity we would not achieve the attainable successes we seek nor would we appreciate them....just a thought. Thanks for listening.

To 'fight' is to live.

I'd like to see life as one big adventure. If it isn't an adventure, then what is it?

Hi Isaak!
That's a great way to look at it. Thanks for a fresh perspective.

I think the biggest thing about life is to have something worth fighting for, because that's what driving you to live and make the best out of your life. And it seems that what you're doing Kwamise :D

Thanks for the encouragement, Celes...it gets difficult sometimes, being a single mom and all. It seems that I push and push toward progress only to be met with less than expected results...and sometimes no results at all. Today has been a bit difficult. I've got an audition on Friday at noon and a performance Friday evening, and my son became ill this afternoon. I thought to myself, "now is not a good time for this to be happening." I'm caught between what should occur on Friday as a performer and what I am compelled to do as a Mom. I am hoping for a miraculous recovery on my son's part. It feels like there is a conspiracy to keep me from my success! But, I refuse to let that happen. What are your thoughts?

Hello, Kwamise... It seems that we are in the same place...My commitments to my family and my dreams feel like they're pulling towards different directions. It's easy to set goals and dreams for yourself, but our goals and dreams affect those whom we love most. For both of us, it's our families. How did your performance go, dear Kwamise?

The whole universe conspires to give you the best life.

The performance went ok...not as well as I would have liked, but we were well received. I think part of the problem was that I spent the night in the hospital with my son last night. In fact, he is still here. I am writing to you from his hospital room. In spite of the circumstances, and against every 'mommy gene' inside of me, I went on with the performance partly under the guise of "the show must go on" and my client and the children were depending on me. What are you endeavoring to do?

Oh, Kwamise, I'm so sorry that your son is in the hospital. I'm going to pray for his recovery. I commend you for going despite these setbacks and I'm sure that the performance went well. Sometimes, we're our own worst critics.

I wish to study international relations/women and development, but this would mean leaving my two little girls behind with their grandparents. I don't want them to experience the instability of moving from one place to the next... I'm not sure yet how a mobile lifestyle affects kids...I have to look into that more closely... My priority is my family always, but there's this strong pull to learn and to serve in a way I'm still not sure of. It's kind of fuzzy right now because I tend to overthink and to linger in indecision...

Hi Ms. Guimba!
I think that your wish to study international relations/womens and development is afabulous pursuit. I have found that children are remarkably resilient, especially when they are loved and FEEL that love. The place of residence doesn't matter as much as the love and attention of their loved ones. I have also found that the answer you seek is inside of you. Don't let fear be your guide. If you sit quietly and ask the question, and remain open and receptive to the answer, it will come with assuredness. It may be that you already know the answer...follow your passion and the rest will fall perfectly into place.

Hi Celes,
I wanted to thank you for TPEF and the 30DLBL. You have helped me move closer toward owning and operating my own cultural and performing arts center (I was able to get the grant proposal submitted this month) and more importantly, through the support and encouragement of the TPEF family, carry me through the hospitalization of my son (who means everything to me). I just needed to say thank you

Kwamise, you are too sweet. I want to thank you for participating in 30DLBL and for sharing a delicate and precious part of your life with us. Thank you for being who you are and for being part of this world :hug::hug: How is your son doing at the moment?

My son is doing much, much better. He was cleared to return to school on Monday, so I was happy  about that! He loves school and is a good student...straight A's...so it was good for him to get back. Thanks for your support. I'm looking forward to getting back on track with my lifeplans as well.

Celes....I've been contemplating my plans for the cultural and performing arts center. The time is getting close to finding out whether my grant proposal has been accepted. I should know something by December 1. Since part of this forum's purpose is to help and encourage one another to realize their goals, dreams, and aspirations, I wanted to know if it would be possible to ask the TPEF and 30DLBL family for their assistance by voting for my project. That is, if it doesn't conflict with what you'd consider an appropriate request. Please let me know and thanks for all that you are doing to enhance the lives of all who cross your path:hug:

Thanks for your support! This is an exciting journey. I am glad to be sharing it with the TPEF family...after all, it was the 30DLBL that gently pushed me forward! I will definitely keep you posted  Where do you think I should post it?
