The Strangest Secret is a fantastic half hour audio recorded in 1956 by Earl Nightingale. It goes over themes similar to the movie The Secret and other media related to the Law of Attraction. I admire it because it's so genuinely down to earth and to the point.

It is the first spoken word album to sell over a million copies and reach gold record status. In fact it is considered to be the album that launched the spoken word industry. So in a way every motivational tape or personal development podcast you have heard has been influenced by this recording.

Glad you enjoyed it, Hannah. The information in it is timeless and worth listening to a few times. Many, many, many authors and speakers share the same message and Nightingale. He was also not the first speaker either to share this knowledge. I honestly don't think I truly understand/practice the idea of "we become what we think about" as much as I wished.

Also, Nightingale has a crazy deep voice that grabs and keeps your attention. I believe at one time he had the most popular radio show in the US (back when radio was popular).

Wow, just wow! I just went through the process of registering for this message board for the sole purpose of commenting on this thread! I admit I clicked the play button in a very cynical frame of mind, but it was one of the most powerful messages I have heard in a long time! I sat and listened with a pad of paper in front of me, and the paper is now covered with scribbled quotes, exclamation marks, arrows and highlighting! So much to be taken from that message - I feel I will have to listen to it several more times to make sure I don't miss anything. I'm up for the 30 day test! It begins today - success is attainable!
