Day 7
Today I had soy milk pancake with fruits and some peanut butter and black coffee for b-fast.
For lunch we had a farewell lunch in the company. I had eggplant, beans, cauliflower and fish balls, all in Chinese flavour.
For dinner we killed the rest of our freshly made veggie dumplings.
I went for a good full body weight training to my gym. I tried to run afterwards, but couldn't;-)
At home I used again the foam roller. It's really relaxing on the back but on some spots very painful. This requires some practice to do it right.
Now after 1 week I have revised my goals and want to achieve the following:
I will maintain my diet without meat and diary. It's an interesting journey and I am eager to complete it.
Daily exercise stays on, I have just made appointments fro squash next week with my colleague as well as gym and running.
The 3l of water I have to drink will continue, I will drink 500ml right after getting up and continue my scheduled drinking. This will definitely create a positive change in my life.
Getting up earlier is on going, I have managed to shift it already by 30min, however still more to go to reach my target of 5.30am. It's currently freezing here in Shanghai, so my morning outside runs have to wait a bit.
I have actually recently done my goals for 2011 and from there created a TO-DO list. I have now created a list of habits I will put in place and tick them off every night against my goal for the week. This will hopefully make it stick easier and create a positive shift towards the change I desire.
I am looking forward to continue this journey and it has honestly been far better than I imagined. The support from others is very encouraging.....

Hey Florian
I have just started to read some of the other forums - was concentrating on my own litlte group till now but I find your progress and determination really impressive so just wanted to say Well Done!
The only way to really change sleeping patterns is bit by bit so you are doing the right thing I think
I know what you mean about sore muscles - I started off last week doing lots of exercise routines with the xbox - lots of squats and lunges which made my legs really ache! They are just about recovering now though - I hope you are feeling less stiff too. I hope your back is feeling better too - I suffered a lot with back pain until I discovered core stability exercises which have helped me a lot.
Well done too on your diet changes - it must take a lot of concentration and planning to stick to the no meat and dairy - I hope it is having positive effects on you as well as the obvious result of weight loss

Day 8
I had a vegetable burrito with beans for b-fast and a wonderful plate of pasta with fresh seafood for dinner. I cooked everything fresh and the mussles where still alive when I bought them.
I went for a 5K run and did some weight workout. My body feels a bit painful, so not too hard today.
Day 9
I had wholeweat bread and salomon as well as homemade Guacamole for b-fast.
For dinner I cooked fish with veggies and potatoes backed in the ofen. Very delicious...
I took my wife to the gym and we did a nice running session. New record for 5K!!!
My trigger foods are Gummi bears, Chips, Pizza, Creamy Pasta Sauce, Cheese and Bacon. I have luckily almost stopped eating all of them From time to time for a treat, but otherwise NO NO!!!!

Florian,
You made me laugh when you wrote "NO NO" after your trigger foods! LOL
Hey, I'm still seriously thinking about a foam roller. These tight neck and shoulder muscles I have are not seeming to get that much better even with stretching.
Keep on keeping on with your goals!

I love that you eat what are considered traditional dinner foods for breakfast. I do the same thing b/c I don't love breakfast foods.
Gummy bears - too funny! But you did just remind me that Swedish Fish is definitely an issue for. I had forgot about that.
Have a great week!
