Hi everyone!
I want to do this because it's said that meditation relieves stress and gives peace of mind. I also want to learn this because my mind usually has a lot of clutter/ too many thoughts, and it would probably help me sleep better with practice. My mind drifts, so maybe I can work on more focused and relaxing thoughts.
I don't know what type of meditation I'll work on, I want to try different types. I'll try to do at least 5 minutes every day and perhaps work up to 10-20 minutes. I'm curious about the benefits of meditation in the morning vs. at night, maybe I'll experiment and see!
I think that this challenge will make me actually work on this and make it a habit I can stick to!
Thanks for everything Celes :)

hi fabi. everyone of us have a lot of thoughts. like what Celes told us that there are 60,000 thoughts running in our minds everyday.

may the benefits from meditation can guide us on how to manage and take control of our thoughts.

hope to learn a lot from you, my friend

Thanks so much Faiz! I'll try to share new-found wisdom if I can :P
I meditated for 10 minutes, very aware of slow, regular breathing and I slowed down my thoughts a little. Not like shutting myself up but slowing/ aiming for more quiet.
I remembered reading about a study on monks who have really developed a place in the frontal brain related to happiness apparently, and how people who were taught to meditate increased their activity there! So I tried summoning a happy feeling, with no particular thought, except perhaps feeling loved, and I did feel genuinely happy! Then I got a little distracted hehe with random stuff I have to study... Maybe while meditating you can concentrate on a feeling, not just a thought, and gain peace and clarity :)
I need practice but I iiked it!
Thanks for anyone reading... I'll try to post earlier next time (or at least in the official group thread to check in that I did it, on the corresponding day..).
