I am starting this challenge because I need to get a leg up on establishing healthy habits with respect to food, exercise, and just taking better care of myself.:)
My ultimate fitness/health/lifestyle goals are to weight 140-145. To be able to move easily and gracefully. I would be strong and fit. I would practice yoga and meditation daily and do cardio and strength training at least 3 times per week.

My plan for this challenge is to do yoga and/or meditation everyday. I will do cardio three days a week and strength training 2 days week. I will control my food intake to 1500 calories and switch to more healthful foods (no more pints of full fat ice cream at a single sitting) such as fish, fruits and vegetables and limit carbs so that I can get over my sugar jones.

At the end of the 21 days I hope to have established a more healthful patterns for eating, exercising, and spirituality. If a lose a couple of pounds that would be great, but right now I just hope to lay the ground work for successful weight and fitness results down the road. Of course I would love to lose a lot of weight quickly but I realize this is unrealistic, so I'll be content with starting new healthful habits/

OK, I did the calorie list for the food I eat regularly. And I tracked my food. I actually started doing that yesterday. It seems I become more mindful when I know I have to keep track and that is a good thing. So when I went grocery shopping today, I did not buy the mint patty that I often do at check out. And I bought beets, a food I haven't had since I was a child but which I rather enjoy. Anyway, still also working on the water thing. I'm getting better, but so much depends on whether I'm working or not. Today I didn't work, so I didn't drink as much water. Interesting observation, more time, less faithful. Wonder what's up with that?
