Hi!

Wow! You live near a forest? Good for you. :D There is no place near my house for me to have a running exercise because every place is occupied by houses and commercial establishments.. *sighs*

Anyways, good luck and have a nice day! ^_^

Thank you chacil and anne_yuki1037! :)

Yes, I nearly live in the forest, haha ;) Looking outside my window right now, I can see threes covered with newfallen snow, mountains and - a lot of snow. It's truly beautiful, and I am blessed to live in such a beautiful place. If you have ever been to Norway in the winter, you know what I mean :)
It is 09.54 AM, and I started today with a good breakfast like yesterday. I have already been outside getting some fresh air, and it felt good :) Sunday is my offical day off - from studies, exercice and everything that reminds me of a hectical week day. So today, I am going to relax - do some meditating, reflecting and continue eating healthy and drinking enough water.

I actually created the kind of calorie liste that we should make for todays task before. We hade a project about it at school, and used a computer program to find out the nutrition in what we ate. It was really helpful, and it made me discover that my diet was not that bad. At the same time, it was room for improvement, like:
- Drinking more water
- Eat less food with a high level of fat
- Eat regulary
- Eat more vegetables

Hi, Chestnut -- I'm one of your group "mates" so just wanted to stop by the check on your progress. Running in the forest sounds absolutely wonderful to me. I've got a park I walk in near my house, so I'm grateful for that. How long do you run? My goal is to walk for about three miles, which I can do in 45 minutes.

Keep up the progress and good work! CDee

Do you have other things you can do at home? Magazines like Oxygen and Muscle Fitness Hers have some great home routines you can do, or you can get DVD's.

Thank you everyone for your reply :D
I started running recently, so I'm starting at the bottom and take it from there. Dreaming of running a 10 km at the end of this year ;)
Cheddalyn: I don't think we got the magazines you was talking aboout here in Norway, but we have some great fitness and health magazines I read sometimes. I also train pilates tuesday, thursday and friday, while I'm running monday, wednesday and saturday. Already seeing some results, and I am so much happier! :)
Chacil: Thanks :)
Well, it is day 3, and I have set up my meal plan.

Breakfast: Oatmeal with fruits and nuts
or Yoghurt with fruits and musli

Small meal: A fruit or a vegetable

Lunch: A sandwich with various spread
or A good salad

Small meal: Nuts, a crispbread, smoothie or a energy bar

Dinner: Various healty meals with the focus of relaxing and have a good time with family or friends (Think I will learn to cook for my friends, instead of eating pizza etc :) )

Small meal: Dark chocolate, vegetables with dip or fruit

Hi, Chestnut -- I love your meal plan. I'm a huge fan of oatmeal -- try to start the day with that as much as I can.

Day 4, and I am sitting here on school, eating grapes. I have managed to follow my meal plan so far today. I started with low-fat yoghurt this morning with musli and a cup of green tea without sugar. For lunch I have planned a sandwich with a lot of vegetables. Feeling better than ever :)

Chestnut -- you've inspired me. I'm going to start my breakfast tomorrow with lowfat yogurt, too.

Only three days and I'm also feeling better....isn't it great!! I used to feel annoyed and bored with planning out meals...but now that I've turned them around into healthy choice I feel so much better that I'm looking forward to the planning. Hope that makes sense. I think it's the fact that we are deliberately choosing what is good -- instead of just grabbing what is available or falling for fast food to deal with stress and no time. This is so much better!

Change02 and Celes: Thanks :) I also enjoy smoothies, especially with strawberries, raspberries and banas + apple juice and yoghurt. This one has a sweet taste and it tastes great!

CDee: Thanks :) Yes, planning meals is really fun when you get started, and the benefits of eating healty has almost overwhelmed me. I get a lot more energy and I am feeling happier when I follow my healthy meal plan. Before I could often just grab someting in the fridge, because I didn't plan the meals ;)

Time for an update I guess :) Today is time for a review ;)

On a scale from 1-10, and would say that 7 is how satisfied I am with my health right know. I am eating healthy, exercicing regulary and sleeping well + I meditate several times a week. But I could do much more effort. Take drinking water for example. Ideal, I will drink 8 glasses of water per day. I am not doing that. But now worries - I just need to lay down more energy on my health.

If I fell of track sometimes? Sure I did ;)
- Diet: I have managed eating healthy and regulary, but I need to become better at planning the meals. Sometimes I eat too much, sometimes I eat to little - I have to find my golden mid-way (Don't know if that is an english expression?)
- Exercice: I admit it - I skipped it yesterday. Not proud of it. I will find my motivation factors in my life handbook later, and review my exercice routine. But it was only one time though. I have worked out every day except from that (not sundays - who is my official day off)
- Lifestyle: I sleep better now, and I meditate. I also wake up early, are happier and not stressed out. This last 7 days + The 30DLBL i december has really paid off :D

When I got off track, it was because I was tempted to do someting else. I forgot my motivators, and fell back into old routines. To stop that, I need to focus on my tasks every day, and have someting that motivate me (Inner motivation factors) I wrote them down in my life handbook on day 1 - so I will find them and look at them every day from now on ^^

I need to change something, but not much. My meal plan, exercice routine and plan in general is working well. I just need that extra push once in a while, to remind me why I'm doing this ;)

Wanted to share a picture :) Here is my lunch one day:

Chestnut -- I love that picture and your update! Was it a pancake with veggies....?? Looked delicious!
You are so wise about dealing the inner motivators....hmm. Maybe I should take a look at mine. Sounds like an area I need work in.

Keep posting!
