So I've been neglecting the challenge majorly the first week- not good!
I was so positive in the beginning, but I think I started out a little big. I had pneumonia in december and I thought I had recovered from it, but I have been working again now and have been quite tired.

So today I've mostly revised my plan, but I have also started drinking water and are planning top catch up with you guys! :)

As i wrote about my intentions earlier I have a lot of changes planned for 2011 and I thought I'd start with improving my health. For the 21days challenge the goals are:

To eat better
- Cut out snacks and fastfood
- Eat on regular times
- Eat more vegetables and
- Drink more

To feel better
- Wake up earlier and start of the day in a good way
- Write more
- Relax and sleep enough

To start up my training again
- Go for a walk everyday
- Build up my body with my home-training program
- Fit in new training-activities in the schedule

So today I have already drank 7 glasses of water and have gone for a long walk with the dog!

I hope your 21 days have started up better and that I'll be able to catch up with you as much as possible =)

Hi, Camilla, it`s great you started the challenge even now, it can never be too late for it!
I`m with you on it in a way: on the last 9 days I was in holiday at home, from tomorrow I`m back to work so the "real" challenge and big plans for me starts from now on as well and I`ll work on it at least until the end of the month.

Your plan sounds great and it made me smile because it`s similar with mine, I can`t wait to read more about your results in the next days!

I wish you lots of good luck and all the best in the next days and also lots of health and happiness for you in this new year!

p.s.: can you please tell me what kind of dog you have or where are you walking with him (nature, city etc.)? I`d love to hear more about it.. My dog has remained home with my mom, I already miss him and I know he`s quite sad about it too.. Thank you! :)

I've continued walking today and soon I am going to enjoy another one under the stars! *yay* Though I think I have neglected my drinking , I think I've drank 3, maybe 4 glasses today, but the day isn't over yet =)

I did the calculations and found my BMR being about 2100 kcal's,I also checked how much I had eaten yesterday which turned out to be 1900! But then I stayed away from cookies and sweets all day of course - which I usually don't! My ideal meal plan gives me about the same calorie intake, since I don't want to loose weight, and I've constructed sort of a base for my days.

It starts out with muesli and yogurt, and a big glas of water in the morning.
Then it's a couple of fruits as snacks, preferably oranges, grapefruit or something else with high vitamin c-levels.

For lunch there is salad, From here on I am going to try and vary the vegetables more than I have for the nutritions sake, also I need to add more protein so there will also be more eggs and beans included =)
For the afternoons there will be fruity-smoothies or some dark chocolate and nuts
For dinner I am going to explore some Quinoa and different sorts of wholegrain products and do stews and veggie-things to this. (I've mostly eaten potato, ris, potato and stuff up to this point :P)

Not all finished, but it's a start. And in addition to this I am going to try to stay away from fried food as a new goal. Which is going to be a tough one, I just today realized that at least about half of my (favorite) food is fried!

So thats todays short post! ;)

And Andreea thank you for commenting! I've got a (somewhat overgrown) toypudel, who's been with us for about four years now (though he is ten, divorce-dog!) Since we live out in the country it's mostly walks in the woods and around our place. Most often up to a neighbor who just happen to be the owner of my dogs best friend! :P I often choose somewhat away places so he can run freely, though it often means I get too run some too! What sort of dog do you have? Tell me 'bout him/her :D I'm so sorry that you have to part from him, even at shorter times, thats never nice!

Hey Alva! Thanks so much for sharing and it sounds like you're doing a great job! Don't worry about falling behind or anything like that - we're all here for one another! Fruit smoothies sound very yummy! They are my personal favorite. What do you mix in your fruit smoothies?

Hi, Alva, I love reading your journal and I also think you`re doing great, everything you eat and plan to eat sounds so good..
I wish you lots of success and good luck in drinking more water and reducing the fried foods, I`m sure it will become easier after eating such healthy things

Thank you so much for your response and words, I hope you enjoyed more walks with your dog today, awww, thank you a lot for telling me about him, he must be a very beautiful and sweet dog.. You are very lucky to live in the country and to have woods around you and quiet places to walk, I`m happy for you, I imagine that it`s so beautiful and quiet there ..

I have a "crazy" and cute brown caniche, he`s 9 years old and he`s staying with my mom in my hometown while I`m living and working into another city which is quite far away from home. He`s so, so happy every time when I`m going back home and I love him so much.. I adore walking with him and I also take him in quiet places with no people around and in the forests with my dad, there he can do whatever he wants..

Wishing you a wonderful day tomorrow and all the best!

Thanks so much Celes I was a little bit stressed out at first when I realized I was so behind, but I'm just taking it one step at the time and finding encouragement in everyones journals and comments
I'm trying ouit a lot of diferent smoothies, but my favorites are with banana/milk/bluebarry or mango/orange-juice/raspberry. How 'bout you what are your fav's? :D

Andrea I had to look up the breed caniche, havn't heard that before but it's apperantly another name for poodle? How big is he? =) always nice to find other dogpersons  I'm soon heading out for the night-walk with my baby, and yeah I'm really glad for our sake that we live in the country, it make it so much easier with walks and stuff :)
Hope your plan is still going good! As I wrote your'e really a source of inspiration

You're doing the perfect thing  All of us fall behind at one point or another. By taking it step by step you're achieving far more than 95% of the people out there who give up on their goals halfway. I'm so proud of you  Raspberry/Blueberry - I haven't tried mixing them in my smoothies yet! I should try tomorrow when I visit the grocer's  My favorite smoothies usually have an orange base and addition of celery. Usually I try different combi's - my current favorite is banana/orange/pineapple/celery and ginger. You can check out the pics in my journal!

Keep up your awesome work! We're all here for each other
