I am running a day behind on the challenge. This is going to be alittle difficult for me just because there are so many things I need to change. I am about 60 lbs over weight and I did not get here overnight.

Diet: I would like to drink 8 glasses of water per day.
I want to consume few calories that come from healthier sources.
Exercise: I want to add stretching to daily tasks.
I want to exercise daily either by walking, Just Dance, or Wii Fit
(eventually I would like to add the eliptical, and strength training). For now I just need to accomplish the routine of doing "something" daily. I am a busy mom of 4 so trying to fit something in is a task in itself.
Meditation: I would like to take 10 minutes to just be quiet.

I want to wish everyone the best at what you are trying to accomplish in the next 21 days. I am hoping I stay focused and can do another challenge after this one! Woohoo!

Hi CeeCee - welcome to group C!

Just the the thought of being a Mom to 4 kids is exhausting to me. I wish you all the best in reaching your goals. I am trying to cut back on my intake of dark chocolate. I have put my water bottle in between them and me. Most of the last 48 hours I went for drinking the water ;-)
Happy New Year :hugs:

CeeCee -- best of luck. Just do whatever you can. Keep posting your progress. I've raised two so I can't even imagine with four. Any progress is great. Remember to try to keep some time to yourself, even if you have to get up early in the am to claim that quiet moment. Keep it up!

That is awesome that you are already making the right choices. I have had a rocky start. I know once I get on board I am in. I have lost 55 lbs in 5 months before working out and eatling low carb. I am just having the hardest time getting it started...ugh! I do have water beside me ...so I guess I am getting something right. I hope today is the day...so far so good! Best to you!:)

Thank you Celes. You have responded to me here so I hope my name gets added to the user id list. I must have missed the first step so I did that just a minute ago. I think everything is done now. Thank you for doing this and inspiring so many of us. You should feel very proud of yourself. What an AMAZING thing you are doing!

Thanks! My biggest obstacle will be sticking to it! The good thing is if I can do this for 21 days I should be good to go. Thanks for your encouraging words.:D

Day 2 Create a Calorie list

Well what I have realized is that I am WAY over on the amount of calories I should be consuming. So instead of listing all the crap I have been eating I will use my time to search for things I like that are healthier and start s list. I really like to skip breakfast, eat sandwich with chips and soda, and have a heavy dinner. This is what I LIKE but since this is not going to help accomplish my goals I must make changes. Below is the start to my list which I will add to periodically. I need to REALLY pay attention to serving sizes.

Food Calories Fat
scrambled eggs, salsa, black beans 230 10
toast with cheese 150 8
chargrilled salad 300 6
ham and cheese salad 390 10
salmon patty 130 6
beans 100 .5
canteloup 47 .4
blueberries 84 0
strawberries 77 .2
gala apple 130 0
cheese and crackers 190 13
baby carrots 35 0
chips and salsa 240
California roll 266 8
Hawaiian roll 366 13
Chargrilled chicken sandwich 260 3
banana 121 .45

My ideal meal plan would be:

Breakfastscrambled eggs, salsa, black beans

Snackjuice spinach, cucumber, celery, gingerroot, apple (I need to buy a juicer)

Lunch Salad with romaine, radish, tomato, apple, sunflower seeds, balsamic

Snackkefir

Dinnersalmon, broccoli, couscous
chicken,spinach

snack
blueberries, carrots

Hey CeeCee! That's amazing work and you should be proud of yourself! :D :hug: I also realized I was overeating in my calories (as well as my fat intake) after doing my calories list.

Yes, it'll be an extremely worthy investment. I got my blender 3 years ago and it's still working like new. And I've been able to enjoy so many fruit juices thanks to it!

Hi, CeeCee -- impressive work! Also, I agree, the portion sizes are the killer! Today I had a salad with chicken strips -- I used to load my salad up with the chicken fooling myself I was eating healthier -- uh, uh.

Today I just took way smaller amount of chicken.

My friend actually eats her dinner on a salad plate -- not a full dinner plate. It tricks her into thinking she's eating a lot because her eyes see a full plate. Just a thougth.
