Hi everyone, My name is Sandz in live in South Africa.

My plans for the year regarding my health are

1. Maintain my current weight,
2. Tone my ABS
3. Get more Sleep.

During the 21DHL

I would like

1. Eat More Fruits and Vegetables
2. Drink more water
3. Start an Exercise Dvd as I am not at the moment able to go the Gym.
4. Talk walks on Sunday Mornings.

Hi Celes, I hope I have corrected it.


Since I was out partying on New's Years Eve - Day 1 kind of dragged as I just relaxed.

Woke up at 11am - showered and went out for a walk about 15min back and fourth.

Late Breakfast I had-

2 slices of Toast with butter
1 Fried Egg
2 Rashers of Bacon
Baked Beans
Coffee

Then later in the day had pieces of Fruit
1 peach and slices of Pineapple.

Drank some water little less than a litre.

Dinner I had
Pasta with gravy and pieces of bacon with a salad
Yoghurt

Day 3



Calculate your BMR = 1283.20

TDEE = 1867.84

I discovered that my ideal weight is 50kg bit of a shocker as I thought my current weight was "ideal"
Current Weight = 53kg
Ideal weight = 50 kg

Calories to burn or to reduce are - 412.00

1. Drank about - I liter of water- hope to increase this as I go along
2. Aerobics - 53 mins of High Impact Aerobics = 328 calories burnt
3. Walked home from work 15 mins

Day 8 - Get a great workout,

When we started 21dHL I purchased a workout Dvd which I have been using for my exercises. Its made up of 5mins, 10 mins 15 mins and 20 mins workout, and you can choose in which order you can use, them.

I have been doing all the exercises everyday with the exception of Saturday and Sunday, I couldn't bring myself to do anything because of the heat it was 40 Deg Celsius,

So I will pick up again today.

Day 11.

Identify 3 pitfalls to healthy living

1. Poor Planning - Most of the items I have failed to plan my meals and end up eating whatever I have, I prefer to pack meals to work, so when I don't pack my lunch I end buying something like a Big Mac. Other times I just starve throughout out the day. And then overeat at night to compensate.

2. Lack of time to exercise, I am currently working everyday at the present moment, and even though I pledged to exercise every day after work, I found it hard some some days to do all my workouts that I set out to do.

3. Sometimes buying healthy foods can be a bit more expensive, so I sometimes settle for the not so healthy foods.


Step 3 - Identify steps to address your healthy living pitfalls

1.I should give myself a bit more time to plan my meals in order to be able to spread out my meals more evenly and avoid overeating.



3. Find cheaper health foods, and plan my meals according that.

Nice to know you are still sticking to the challenge!
I've got problems with planning too. :P
If you find cheaper health foods or even recipes, pleeeaaasse post it!!
I'd would be great to get more ideas on this....

Good going. Great to see that you are hanging in. :) You mentioned that it's difficult to exercise because of lack of time. Not sure if this will help but I started by exercising for 5 minutes, then 10 minutes etc. I found that this allowed me to succeed when I was really busy but helped me get into the habit of exercising regularly. :D

Day 12

Evaluate your relationship with food,

After the evaluation I found that I am in Group A, I think this is accurate although there are times when I can not eat when I am excited about an upcoming event.

Day 13.

I managed to do my 1 hour workout (using a dvd) I felt motivated today.
I drank a cup of coffee, but its been a bid hard cutting it down altogether, I usually to drink more than three cups a day, but since Day 10 this was my first cup.
