![]()

Welcome to Day 5 of Be a Better Me in 30 Days Challenge! ![]()
I’m proud to announce we’ve now reached 1,258 participants* for 30BBM!! And with that, we’ve exceeded the participant count of our most popular challenge to date – Live a Better Life in 30 Days, which had a whooping 1,202 participants during last year’s Sep run!! This makes Be a Better Me in 30 Days Challenge the most popular personal development course of its kind ever.
At this rate, we’ll likely be hitting 1,300 participants sometime soon. The thought of over 1,200 of us from different parts of the world, of all ages, all interests, banding together to be a better me this month makes me feel so warm and fuzzy on the inside. The power of the internet truly transcends boundaries. As I’m traveling now, it’s apparent how the world is really one and we’re all the same – despite meeting people from totally different backgrounds and cultures (be it the Dutch, Germans, French, Russians, etc), we’re somehow able to connect freely and openly, like common souls.
Everyone of you here who has signed up – I’d like to congratulate you for taking the first step forward to becoming a better you. Because you’ve taken the first step to pledge your intention, you’ve set into motion a huge chain of events which will eventually move you into a better person. Because you’ve set your intention to the world out there, things will now be different. Whether you like it or not, the universe is now going to do everything in its power to help you achieve your vision of your ideal self.
Once again, if you have not signed up, now is your final chance to do so. I’ll be officially closing the sign ups very soon. Simply follow the 3 steps, then proceed on to Day 1′s task and get started from there. Don’t even worry about being behind – just do the tasks one at a time, at your own pace. Believe it or not, there are still new participants joining even today (Day 5), so you’re definitely not alone. It’s better to start late than to never start at all.
Update Aug 7 ’11: Sign-ups are now closed. For those who are new, you can do the program yourself. Start off with Day 1: Assess Yourself
Day 4 – Day of Virtue: Kindness Review
Yesterday’s task was on kindness – embodying the virtue of kindness, and being that beacon of light and love to everyone you see.
How was your experience on Day 4? Many of you have posted amazing acts of kindness and shared beautiful experiences of how you touched others’ lives in your special way yesterday. If you haven’t, be sure to post your results.
Know that no matter how small or big the act is, no matter how your kindness was received, your intention has planted a seed in the person’s heart. This seed will soon bloom into something beautiful, which only time can unveil.
Are you pushing yourself to the next level?
While I was reading the comments for Day 4 – Day of Virtue: Kindness, I noticed some participants used the acts of kindness they did on Days 1-3 as answer for their Day 4 assignment.
While it’s great that many of you are already doing acts of kindness by default, the whole point of 30BBM is to push your boundaries to the next level.
Which means, rather than saying: “Oh, I already did some kind acts yesterday/today, hence my work for Day 4 is complete”, challenge yourself with: ”In addition to the kind acts I already did/are doing, what more kind acts can I perform to others? How can I be an even kinder person? How can I push my kindness to the next level?”
In the former, you remain the same person as you are; in the latter, you grow and become better. Only by constantly challenging your limits will you become the better you, the ideal you that you seek.
Day 5: Character Board
Today’s task will take about 30 min – 1.5 hours, depending on how much time you wish to spend on it.

Today’s task is about character boards.
What is a character board? It’s a totally new concept I created for 30BBM, referring to a collage of words and/or pictures that represent our ideal self.
If you’re thinking this sounds like the vision board, you’re absolutely right! They are similar in concept – While the vision board relates to our goals and dreams, the character board relates to our highest self (in character traits). Both serve distinct purposes. (Those of you who have Live a Better Life in 30 Days Program will find the vision board task in Day 5 of the program.)
The objective of the character board is to embody the essence of who we want to be in 1 spot (be it a corkboard, A4 paper, desktop wallpaper, digital image, etc), such that we are constantly reminded of our highest vision of ourselves. This helps to spur us onto action every day. This is part of using the environment to reinforce our goals.
Not only that, it’s incredibly inspiring to have a character board! We can talk about wanting to cultivate positive traits like patience, compassion, kindness, etc, but having them presented in words and images before us makes it so much easier to visualize. It makes your goal to be a better you more real than it already is, and lets you know that this is who you’re going to be as you continue on this path.
Back when I first worked on becoming a better me, I created a simple slide in powerpoint, with the 5-6 key traits in my ideal self. It was all text (which worked great for me). This was pretty much my character board, albeit a very simple one.
I then printed that slide, and pinned it up on my notice board, where it served as a reminder to uphold these traits every day. It didn’t take long before I made big steps forward in becoming a better person. After a few months, I had no need for it anymore because the traits had been integrated into me. From there, I then identified new traits to embody in my new ideal self, which then led to a creation of a new “board”. And it continued on from there.
The character board, while seemingly simple in concept, is a powerful tool in helping you become your ideal self. (Just as the vision board is a powerful tool for achieving our goals and dreams.)
30BBM Participants’ Character Boards
Check out the amazing character boards some 30BBM participants have created! I feel so inspired for all of us just looking at them.

Your Task: Create Your Character Board!
In the next 30 min to an hour, you’re going to have your very own character board! Are you excited? I sure am!
- Identify your 5 core ideal traits.
- Refer to what you wrote for Day 3: Discover Your Ideal Self. Pick out 5 most important traits you want to attain as your ideal self. These are the 5 traits you’re going to focus on in your board!
- You can have other traitstoo, just that you’ll be placing the biggest attention on the 5 core traits.
- Select the format you want for your character board.
- Your board can come in any form, really. You can hand write/decorate on A4 paper (easiest), create a digital image (using Photoshop / GIMP / Powerpoint / Word), use cut-outs from magazines and form a collage on cardboard, get a corkboard specially for this purpose, etc.
- Use whatever format that works best for you. As I mentioned above, my past character board(s) was just a simple slide in MS Powerpoint – no images and no jazz. It did what it needed to do for me. Remember this is about creating a board that works for you, and not about doing busy work.
- Search for images that reflect your ideal traits.
- Search for 1-3 images per trait, for your 5 core traits (Google Images or Flickr works great!). If you have more than 5 traits you want to highlight, feel free to search images for them too.
- If you don’t want images, you can just make it a text-based board. It’s perfectly fine!
- Print out the images if you’re making a hard copy board.
- Create your board!
- Do whatever you deem fit here – let your creative juices flow!
- That said, I have some broad suggestions which you can follow if you want:
- Write “Ideal <Your Name Here>” in the middle of the board. Example, “Ideal Celes”.
- Then, write your 5 core traits around that.
- Supplement each trait with its corresponding set of images.
- Share your board when you are done!
- Upload your image(s) here: Photo Bucket | Flickr, after which they’ll provide a working link where others can download/view the image.
- Please include a description of the 5 core traits you chose, together with a meaningful description of your board, such as what you feel about the board, how you felt when doing the board, why you chose these particular images, etc, vs. just posting an image link. Else the comments/discussion area will just become a plethora of links, which doesn’t make it very meaningful. Thanks!
Vision boards and Character boards can be extremely inspirational tools. As part of extending power inspiration to others, I’ll be selecting and showcasing some participants’ character boards in today’s post (the section above)! So do share your character boards once you’re done!
Tomorrow, Day 6, will be a break day. This way, those who’ve not finished the previous tasks or signed up later can catch up. It’s also a day where those who are up to speed can focus on the discussions and get to know each other better. Stay tuned!
Day 5 Reflection for 30BBM
- Is there anything you learned today?
- If so, what is it? Write it down.
Share Your Answers!
What are the 5 core ideal traits you selected? What format have you chosen for your character board? How does your character board look like?

I put these five traits up as key traits for my ideal self:
Confident
Positive
Honest
Warm
Calm
Confidence – I believe this is important, because without confidence in myself I won’t be able to fully open up to the world and other people, thereby limiting my potential and what I can achieve. Only by having the courage to speak freely and be myself can I truly connect with others and with truth. For me, this confidence was illustrated by someone speaking in front of a group of people, as well as a woman reaching towards the sky, not seeing any limits to who she can be.
Being positive – to be happy, we all need a positive outlook on life, other people and ourselves. We have to believe that we can achieve our goals and that everything will work out for the best. Pessimism and negativism are such destructive forces that can bring down what we have built up, so we should counter these tendencies with a positive mindset. I chose a picture of a happy smiley face, because when you are happy and smile, that will rub off on others, thereby increasing the amount of positive feelings in the world. The picture with the rose-colour tinted glasses is there to remind me that a lot of happiness in life has to do with how we choose to see things – with a positive or a negative mindset, and it is only with the positive mindset that we will see the good things in life, illustrated here by the happy couple enjoying the beautiful sky together.
Honesty – if we can’t be honest to ourselves or to others, we will live a life of falsehood and denial. I chose the pictures because I liked the quote “better to fail with honour than succeed by fraud” and because the other picture with the word “truthfulness” written over a water surface illustrates how an honest mind is like clear water, you can see and experience its true depth rather than just seeing the shallow murkiness that results when you aren’t living in accordance with truth and honesty.
Warmth – important because it’s how we connect with others, by showing them true human warmth, kindness and caring. I chose to illustrate this with a picture of two persons showing this warmth by hugging each other, as well as a woman opening her arms up to the world while smiling, freely and openly welcoming it into her life without judgement or reservation.
Calmness – my ideal self is someone who is secure in herself and doesn’t let the little things in life rattle her. She is at peace with being who she is and the life she leads. The pictures for this trait show a woman meditating in nature (meditation and connecting with nature are two key aspects to achieve the inner calm that I aspire to) as well as a sunset, because I always find myself very peaceful whenever I look at them.

This was actually a fun exercise.. In part because I could be a little creative too in addition to thinking about an ideal me.
I wasnt going to use any images at first but then decided on just one per trait.
The ideal Melissa!

Initially I thought I was just going to draw my board out, simply on a piece of paper. Nothing creative, nothing colorful, just functional. But as I started the process, I felt the need to be creative, thus ending up with something on Keynote on my Mac. My board is simple but explains very clearly who I think an ideal me is – someone who wants to live life for myself, be loyal to others and accept and support others.
Having passion and zest for life: Everyone should live passionately! I hate it when I get in a rut and go through life on autopilot. Every day should bea burst of excitement about something new I saw or learned or found. I want to be excited about EVERYTHING!
Focusing on my mental, spiritual and physical health: This is really important to me, so I can be present in my moments and not plagued by illness or lethargy caused by drops in my energy or focus. While some illnesses are unvavoidable, many things that drain on our minds and bodies can be remedied. I need to focus on this more – being active, eating right and taking time to clear my mind.
Being compassionate towards others: I really do think about how my actions affect other people and while this can sometimes cause me to have guilt issues, I really do care for other people and their best interests. Id like to find a balance of compassion, where I still want to help but dont always feel responsible for fixing everything for everyone else.
Accepting everyone for who they are: Everyone has broken pieces, everyone has faults. Instead of trying to fix people or asking them to fix themselves, I really want to be a person that always accepts who someone is, unjudgemental, and loves all the pieces of them. This isnt hat hard to do but its human nature to want things to adjust for our comfort instead of adjusting ourselves to fit everything else.
Loyalty and dedication to family and friends: I am pretty loyal now but there are areas where I could be more dedicated to the people in my life that I love. This can always use improvement.

Inspirational! Loved the balanced rocks. I commented on someone else’s board who also used balanced rocks. My sons and I love to “rock hunt” in Lake Michigan, and then make balanced rock sculptures at our family cabin there. It is a type of “meditation” we do together. It brings us close to the earth, fills us with the awe of the ages, and connects us with generations before us. Thanks for sharing!

Hey guys! It’ll be great if you can include a description of the 5 core traits you chose, together with a meaningful description of your board, such as what you feel about the board, how you felt when doing the board, why you chose these particular images, etc, vs. just posting the link. Else the comments/discussion area will just become a plethora of links, which doesn’t make it very meaningful. Thanks!

It’s still August 4 here (for a few more nminutes) but I’m glad the post is up because this one is going to take some time, which I won’t have much of tomorrow.
I need to find pictures that reflect these traits: Fun and sense of humor, spending time with friends and family, doing well at work and seeking to improve skills, taking care of things as they come up instead of waiting/delaying/procrastinating…

Today is a catch-up day for 30BBM so I have time to work on the character board.
In so doing, I’m refining my idea of the things I want to work on. I won’t post the character board because the other people in the pictures are “real” people, friends and family members.
By using personal items and family pictures for most of the characteristics, I made it more truly about me, and more hopeful that I will attain the ideal. If I had used a picture of Jacqueline Kennedy or Mother Teresa, for instance, to represent some desired characteristic, I would quickly give up because they have so many other characteristics that I can’t hope to aspire to and probably wouldn’t choose for myself. Instead, I’m looking things that I’ve done before and character qualities that I have within me that I want to develop.
Fun and sense of humor: I actually have a pretty good sense of humor but I don’t have nearly enough fun and play in my life. To represent fun and play I have these two pictures: one of the photos of my husband and me that our son took, and some children playing. The photo of us shows us laughing; in the first ones we were kind of still and smiling but as our son kept snapping, we relaxed and started laughing and the picture came out great.
Fun, play, and a sense of humor are important because they enable us to cope better with life’s challenges. Humor provides perspective that helps keep things in balance. It helps keep you from feeling overwhelmed. Fun and play create a “library of positive memories”, which is recommended by Dr. Daniel G. Amen to improve brain function!
One of the rules I had for my kids was that they had to be fun to have around! That meant no whining and complaining, no teasing, no arguing, etc.
Time with family and friends is represented by a family picture taken at our niece’s recent wedding and a picture from a cookout we had a couple of years ago. These are the truly important people in our lives, but because they will “understand” and will “always be there”, it is easy to choose to do other things instead of being with them. Every hospitalization and every funeral is a reminder that they won’t always be there, and when I realize that I have lost touch with someone, it reminds me that even though they may understand, they will get on with their lives and not just wait around for me to find the time for them.
Also, time with family and friends is part of building that library of positive memories.
My ideal self is good at her work and seeks to improve her skills. For this I have a copy of a newsletter column by my director in which he quotes from a letter praising one of the teachers. Although he didn’t name me in the column, in a private note he said that the letter was about me; the man who wrote the letter sent me a copy of it as well. To represent improvement of my skills, I have the last page of an evaluation of “platform skills” as a reminder to review myself in this area. Platform skills are the skills you need to organize and present material to adults in a classroom setting.
Being good at what I do is represented by my paying job but is much broader than that, because I do so many things and feel that they all matter to someone. Being a good instructor means that I convey to others the knowledge and skills that they seek. Being good at managing my husband’s health care means that he gets appropriate treatment and prolongs his life and his ability to live at home and be productive.
Developing my skills is about staying current with developments. It is about continuing to use what I have learned. It is about finding ways to communicate what I know to others who may have a different mindset. For example, sometimes something is incredibly clear to me but what I say doesn’t make it clear to someone else, so I look for different ways to say the same thing.
Taking care of things as they come up was the hardest thing to find a picture for. I finally chose pictures that show various tools and supplies needed to take care of the things that I often have to deal with, like a telephone and a set of tools; I also included a manicure set because self care sometimes takes a back seat to taking care of others.
I arranged these elements around a picture of myself wearing a construction paper crown. Because, and this is one of the refinements I made, Ideal VickiB is sovereign (a concept that is important at http://www.fluentself.com ). Being sovereign means that you own yourself.

After posting a description of my character board, I found a couple of pictures that typify “taking care of things when they come up”. One is of a tree trimmer at work on one of our trees that had broken branches after a storm. The other is of a sore place on my husband’s foot that took a long time to heal and, if we had not started to deal with it right away, could have caused him to lose his foot! Both are examples of things that had to be taken care of and if I had delayed or procrastinated on them, could have been a lot worse to deal with later.

Hi again!
I’ve been up doing my character board for houuuurs cos I got really excited about it and couldn’t stop. I tried for ages to get it on Flickr but I couldn’t work it sooo here’s a TwitPic of it
http://t.co/MJW546C
hope everyone else is having as much fun with theirs!
I learnt that self-improvement is fun and exciting and that it’s okay to be your own version of perfect. It’s not like being a really nice person means that you have to stop being you – which is (weirdly) what was bothering me. I’ve decided that being awkward and also being able to stand up for myself and others, doesn’t make me a bad person. You can be your ideal self and still have little quirks that some might deem as flaws but are actually just traits that make us who we are

(Just saw Celes’ comment)
Description:
There are lots of pictures of musical things – a gig crowd, Dave Grohl playing guitar, someone playing keys and someone singing – this is because my ideal self is a successful musician. Having the band as my career is my main goal in life and therefore this affects my view of my ideal self a lot.
“Embrace rage” – this along with “GOOD – without being too much of a sissy..” (both taken from random music magazine quotes) – I felt described my whole worry of becoming a drippy, pathetic pushover when trying to be a nice person. It reminds me that I can become a good person while still being tough and sure of myself.
There are a load of words and phrases cut out of a magazine, these are:
“grabs”
“Get it” – with a picture of a very focused looking eye underneath to portray motivation
“exceptionally good”
“writing”
“brave”
“upfront”
“unexpected”
“happiness”
“life is simple in the moonlight” – reminding myself to enjoy the small, beautiful pleasures of life
“I love” – reminder to stay loving
“there’s a lot of weird stuff” combined with “under cover of darkness” – basically telling myself that I can stay a bit mysterious and I can be weird and unusual and that won’t make me any less my ideal self. In fact, I wouldn’t be my ideal self without those things
“powerful”
“brilliant”
“make her voice heard”
“essential punch in the face”
“leave you entranced”
“make a difference”
“rare”
“Sunny”
“excellent”
“fun”
“finest”
“beautiful”
“thou shalt not pretend”
All these were just adjectives that I would like people to assign to me in their minds, I want to be those things or do those things to people.
Things I wrote:
“go the extra mile”
“considerate”
“in touch with myself”
“get better”
aaand a lyric “These are probably gonna be the best days of our lives! so here we go, back on the road again. Wish me well, I got no soul left to sell. We may not have very much to show for it now but at least we’ll have these stories to tell.. and we’re definitely going to HELL” (that word was cut out of a magazine – from a song called Hellbound by The Creepshow, which I love.
Then for my ideal traits I wrote:
*Hard working
*loving and affectionate
*ambitious
*tough
*positive
*interesting and intelligent
I then put a magazine clipping of the word NOW in the centre of these traits and drew arrows to the word NOW from the traits, to remind myself to act on these right now, not later.

Yeah, I think the act of going through magazines finding traits I wanted to be a part of my personality was very helpful and physically doing it seemed to connect me more with my ideal vision.
It’s propped up on my bedside table. I spend most of my time sitting on my bed, whether I’m planning, reading this blog or doing some writing so to have it there it’s an awesome reminder AND it’s the first thing I see when I wake up in the morning which is lovely
I’d definitely recommend having a physical copy

Honestly, I haven’t done any of those 4 tasks announced previous 4 days. I don’t think I really signed up for the program because I knew that I wouldn’t be able to complete all tasks assigned. I had to be honest to myself, the longest time I stick around doing something as daily routines was probably 3 weeks. 30-day task is too long for me
Though I never officially signed up, somehow I got in the loop on daily updates of the program via my inbox. It’s probably from the newsletter I signed up for. For days, I simply gave a mix between my curiosity and laziness. While I am curious of what’s the content of each day’s assignment, I laze myself from doing anything to improve anything. I read through comments and felt inclined of doing the same after seeing how others taking these seriously.
I believe it’s time to give something back to my life which I felt that I haven’t been giving much thought on living the life I wish. All these few years, I had been focusing too much on my work. I worry all the time. Worry about when I can complete my projects. Worry about what clients wanted from me. Worry about billing cycle. Work might pretty much consumes the rest of my living time. I wish to shout to myself: “GET A LIFE”.
So for the five most significant traits I would like to attain and grow (if I haven’t yet had) will be circling around traits that should give the best to my life. And they are:
1. Joyful
2. Youthful
3. Creative
4. Adventurist
5. Persistence
I vision myself to be easy going, enjoying the experiences that I have, will go through in my life. I will always feel young, to carry on doing whatever I have planned for in my life. I still think I am probably like 18-20 years old, though I am 25 now. Age should no longer be an excuse for something too late, too old to do something. Keep myself creative, looking forward to create something, might be something meaningful or something just for me to experience it, satisfy the urge of actually doing something
Ready to explore, being adventurist in whatever challenges I will be facing in my life. Explore all the possibilities. And lastly persistence, which I doubt I possess it deliberately. I shall not easily get distracted by the difficulty the challenge brought to my life, be it the task I need to complete in my work or things I want to achieve in my life. I shall build myself to have a strong persistence, that will give me enough endurance to go through all those events and enjoy them all. Hope I can really enjoy the rest of life that I still have to go through.
This morning, I woke up really early around 5:30. I am an early riser. I gaze out through my house window. Looking at the swimming pool down there. I challenged myself, dare I swim such an early morning? Gave it a thought. Silence. And I did! Can’t believe how freezing cold the water was. I can feel the water was striking every inch of my skin. When you are under water, the only way to hide away the feeling of cold is to move your body, swim. When I stop, there the feeling of cold came attacking. I guess that’s what life should be. Life should be dynamic, keep moving and keep going. Just don’t stop.
One said that anything that has to do with “something to be done” is call WORK. LIFE is different, it suppose to be something that we all have to go through. Many mixes LIFE with work, we think LIFE the way we think WORK. In our life, we think of how things should be done in our life, how we suppose to study, then find a job, earn a living, get into mortgage, find a partner, get married, raise kids, get insurance, retire and so on. We think in ladder steps of sequences we need to achieve. We hurried to get there and forget that life is not work. Life is about experiencing, going through it and be happy with it. It’s not a set of todo lists.
Sorry I digress, here is my board I created
http://minus.com/mcoEMSe
Well I have done Day-5 task!! Maybe I shouldn’t call it “done”, it is not a work
Trying to catch up some other tasks on weekend.
Cheers!

Hi Freddy Wang,
Well written! I would not dare to swim at such an early hour in the morning.
Anyway..what strike me most is the following phrase:
“Life should be dynamic, keep moving and keep going. Just don’t stop.”
This is so true. Hope you dont mind me sharing this in my Facebook Status too.
Cheers!

Love your genuine post & feel you are embarking on a new journey! Glad you have decided to participate instead of being an onlooker. The swim in the pool was grabbing life by the reigns & truly seizing the moment! Good for you for stepping out of your comfort zone & obtaining a deep meaning from something otherwise so simple! Good luck!

for sure, it’s going to be long journey. So I wish to enjoy it. The journey is the reward
Try something different today, I feel so relinquished. Maybe it was a good kick. Wake me up from my limbo

Hi Freddy!
I’ve signed up, but hey, I have loads of homework to do so far and I’ve went camp for Days 1-3. So I’ve missed quite a lot. So, I’m just compiling all these up and then do it in my free times later. (This is okay, isn’t it, Celes?)
Anyway, nice board! Great you added the picture references!
~Amanda
P.S. great genuine post!
P.P.S. I never did swim at such an early hour but once it was already 12pm but the water is still VERY cold (compared to usual standards!). Well, my tactic is the same as you – I just swam. After 10 minutes? It felt nice and warm!

My ideal self is positive
, kind ,open/sociable ,good listener and treats people the way she wants to be treated . I drew a flower , a tree , a smiley face, a couple of hearts, a triangle and a square filled with circles inside . I also wrote some titles of some songs that I like ( dream on , let it be , all you need is love ) . Dream on will remind me to set goals . Let it be will help me when I’m sad . And all you need is love reminds me how much of a hopeless romantic I am
. The square and the triangle show that I want to study math when I graduate high school .
sorry that I didn’t take any pictures .

You know, I just loved the Vision Board from 30dlbl and it hangs over my desk to this day. I’m going to upload a pic of it so you can see, five traits stand out. Last year I identified them as Love Wisdom Courage Moderation and Peace. You’ll notice that Freedom is also on my Vision Board and Freedom is an interesting one because it is a state of mind, that is a state of Being. But its also a trait because true freedom cannot be maintained if it can’t be taken as a personal trait to be lived, creating an environment of freedom for others.
When I looked at my Highest Values from Aug 02, I wrote: Honesty, Kindness, Humility, Compassion, and Steadfastness. I notice here that this second list is really the pathway to achieving what’s on the first list. I just wanted to point that out. Last year it took me more than a week to put my vision board together. You’ll see that its a collage primarily made of scrapbooking materials and magazine clippings. I know the assignment is not supposed to take a long time, but I found the activity really helped me define my higher vision in a meaningful and deeply personal way. When I look at my Vision Board I am reminded of who I really am and where I’m going.
So I’ve decided to make the second board with the same level of care I put into the first, only the second board will “read” more like a coded map-the road to take towards…
Here’s the link to those photos. Please let me know if it doesn’t work. In a few days, when I’m done, I’ll include photos of my new character board as well.

This task definitely took longer than the 30 minutes – 1.5 hours. It’s still not completely finished (which is a bit ironic , seeing the text on top) , but I do want to get some other things done today as well
I’ll definitely spend the next days tweaking it further.
I chose 3 people who I see as inspiring leaders and as examples:
Tim Ferriss , Richard Branson and Donald Trump.
Their pictures already depict many parts of my ideal character: entrepreneurial, men of action, visionaries, self-confidence, …
The arrow in the background stands for continuously improving. The smiley for me is a symbol of accepting yourself as you are , and accepting your current situation as it is , right now. Both constantly improving and accepting the current situation are really important and can go together quite well I think.
Even though it’s not completely ready yet, I’m actually quite happy with the result. I think it really depicts some important parts of the ideal me I want to work towards.

Hi Vic!
I liked your presentation a lot. And I agree with you, this did take longer than expected
Thank you for pointing out the importance of acceptance, of oneself and ones current situation. It seems sometimes that for many people, including me, it’s the hardest thing to do.
Take care

Vic,
I love the arrow pointed at an angle. It shows that you know it is a slow process but possible if you stay the course.
