Personal Excellence Goes Mobile!

Mobile version of Personal Excellence website superimposed on catalogue image of a Nokia phone.

If you have a 3G mobile phone with access to internet, here’s some great news – you can now surf Personal Excellence on your mobile phone. :D

If you tried loading Personal Excellence before on your mobile (I have), it would have loaded like a standard webpage. Clearly, standard websites aren’t meant to be browsed with a mobile phone. The small screen meant it was a chore reading the articles, with the side-scrolling and small text. Quite claustrophobic.

Well from now onwards, you don’t have to worry about that. I just installed a plugin which makes Personal Excellence mobile friendly. The plugin automatically detects if you are using a mobile phone to access the site, and if so, it will load up a mobile template with only article content. Makes for very clean reading. :)

Here’s a list of the mobile phones supported:

Elaine/3.0, iPhone, iPod, Palm, EudoraWeb, Blazer, AvantGo, Windows CE, Cellphone, Small, MMEF20, Danger, hiptop, Proxinet, ProxiNet, Newt, PalmOS, NetFront, SHARP-TQ-GX10, SonyEricsson, SymbianOS, UP.Browser, UP.Link, TS21i-10, MOT-V, portalmmm, DoCoMo, Opera Mini, Palm, Handspring, Nokia, Kyocera, Samsung, Motorola, Mot, Smartphone, Blackberry, WAP, SonyEricsson, PlayStation Portable, LG, MMP,OPWV, Symbian, EPOC

Now you can catch up on new articles or check out the classics while you’re on the go.

Special thanks to WordPress PDA plugin :)
