Blogging Intensive Bootcamp - How To Build a Million Pageview Blog

Update Dec 15: Our class is now FULL and sign ups are now officially closed. Thanks everyone for the fervent interest!! :D

Many of you have repeatedly asked me to start a blogging course. And I have repeatedly said no as I wanted to concentrate on products/services that are directly linked to personal excellence.

After much delay, I’m finally starting a blogging course this month to share my insights on how I created a million-pageview/month blog. This is a one-time course and I have no idea when’s the next time I will run this course again, if ever. So if you have been meaning to learn about blogging from me or you want to pick up true blue cutting-edge blogging strategies, read on!

My Blogging Story

December 14 was the day I started Personal Excellence. At that time, it was called Embrace Living.

PE circa 2008 - EmbraceLiving.net

PE circa 2008, a.k.a. Embrace Living, which I later changed because I felt it was too hippie-like. Never will you see this layout on PE again. Notice the Christmas RSS button as PE was launched in the month of Christmas. :)

PE gradually went through several layout redesigns.

PE circa 2009

PE in March 2009.  One of the many layouts I experimented with in 2009. Very retro-looking, I know. But it soon got better.

In 2009, I renamed the site to “The Personal Excellence Blog” and switched the domain to CelestineChua.com. I later dropped “The” and “Blog” from the site name to be just “Personal Excellence” and did a domain switch to PersonalExcellence.co, which is the final and official domain for PE today.

In 2010, I revised the layout to the signature fiery red/maroon color/look which you’ve come to know (100% designed by yours truly).

PE circa 2010 - New domain, New site name

How PE looked like in 2010

The PE logo, of a man standing on top of the world with his hands stretched out in exuberance, was designed by me as well.

This layout stuck around ever since. I’ve subsequently toned down the red to maroon, which has become a part of the PE brand identity ever since.

PE as it looks today (2012)

How PE looks like today, as of December 2012.

Traffic Milestone: Hitting 1 Million Monthly Pageviews

In Oct 2011, after less than three years of running the blog, PE hit one million pageviews a month. This means that we receive one million pageviews, or one million “views” of the individual pages on the site, every single month.

One Million Pageviews in 2011

Yes!!!

Having one million pageviews a month meant that PE became one of the most highly read personal development blogs on the planet! In a sphere which is immensely saturated with hundred thousand other sites, this was a great accomplishment. It was a great affirmation that I was on the right track and I was doing the right things to develop the site and reach out to others.

Today, I have developed PE into a go-to resource for anything to do with personal growth, from having free articles, to daily inspirational quotes, to videos, to podcasts, to e-books, and more.

I’ve been interviewed and featured over 50 times in the media, including CNN, Channel News Asia, Cosmopolitan, Sun-Herald, My Paper, CBS Business Network, and more.

I’m also regularly invited to speak at conferences and events, having spoken at Wharton Business School (University of Pennsylvania), Kimberly Clark, JobsCentral, deBaak (leading training institute in Holland), National University of Singapore, Singapore Institute of Management, and more.

Having a blog as the platform for my business has also allowed me to be 100% mobile, where I can be in any place, anywhere I want. Last year in June, I went on a seven-month long travel around Europe and U.S., visiting different countries, experiencing different cultures and sights, and meeting PE readers along the way.

Check out some of the PE meetups I have conducted since last year:

A Blogging Course

Many of you have consistently asked me to create a blogging course or product. And I have consistently said no, because blogging simply isn’t a direct child topic of personal excellence. I didn’t want to work on something that’s not in line with the long-term direction of PE.

Well, today, for the first time in a long time, I’ve decided to start a blogging course for people who want to learn the success strategies of blogging and want to take their blogs to the next level. After four years of blogging and building one of the leading blogs online, I think it’s now finally the time to create such a course and share the knowledge to whoever who wants to learn from me.

Blogging Bootcamp: How To Build a Million-Pageview/Month Blog!

Who is this for?

  1. Anyone who is running a blog and wants to take it to the next level. Whether you are a new blogger, intermediate blogger, or even an advanced blogger, if you want to know what it takes to build a million-pageview/month blog, this is for you. I’ll be teaching the in-depth strategies and tactical approaches I used to build a million-pageview/month blog today. No huff. No fluff. Just real content and information.
  2. Anyone who has yet to start a blog and wants to learn the success strategies of blogging right away and cut down his/her learning curve (vs. plowing through the mass of information in this information-saturated market which consists of 1,001 different opinions, many of which contradict another).I’ll NOT be teaching technical know-how (like how to use WordPress or set up your blog) NOR basic how-to’s (like how to install a plugin or a theme). This is purely a content-driven course on strategies to succeed in blogging.

What will we be covering?

There will be six modules in all, with each module pegged at two hours.

  1. Module 1: Fundamentals of blogging (Elements of a right layout, title, tagline, domain, etc.)
  2. Module 2: What it takes to write powerful content
  3. Module 3: Strategies to grow your traffic
  4. Module 4: Strategies to retain your traffic
  5. Module 5: How to create raving fans (The key to self-fueling traffic)
  6. Module 6: Review and wrap up

What is the course schedule?

The sessions will be conducted every Saturday, two hours long, from 9:30pm to 11:30pm Singapore time (GMT +8). Equivalent timings for other timezones:
  • Saturday, 7:30am to 9:30am, CST (GMT -6)
  • Saturday, 8:30am to 10:30am, EST (GMT -5)
  • Saturday, 1:30pm to 3:30pm, UTC (GMT +0)
  • Saturday, 2:30pm to 4:30pm, CET (GMT +1)
  • Saturday, 7pm to 9pm, IST (GMT +5:30)

The dates for the six modules are (tentative and subject to changes):

  • Module 1 – Dec 15 / Sat
  • Module 2 – Jan 5 / Sat (No classes on Dec 22 and Dec 29 since it’s the New Year’s weekend.)
  • Module 3 – Jan 12 / Sat
  • Module 4 – Jan 19 / Sat
  • Module 5 – Feb 2 / Sat  (No classes on Feb 9 as it’s the eve of Chinese New Year.)
  • Module 6 – Feb 16 / Sat

Frequently Asked Questions

There are some clashes between the course schedule and my calendar. What should I do?

I will be providing recordings of the course for attendees who can’t make it for specific weeks. Each week’s recording would be available for viewing for one week from the date of the session. This is to help the participants who already have prior engagements they need to attend.

How much is the course?

$297 only. There is also a limited-time registration offer for initial registrants. (Scroll down for more details.)

Will you be releasing a product version for this course?

To be honest, I don’t know and I do not want to make any guarantees. Initially, I thought I was going to create the passive income product right after the passive income course ended but I decided to park that as I had other projects to handle.

I recommend you sign up for this course directly if you want to learn about blogging rather than wait around for the product to be released (if it ever does). The faster you get the knowledge, the faster you can apply to your blog too and get working to your blogging success. The direct coaching and course experience will always be more superior than just watching or learning from a passive product.

There are so many blogging sites out there with free information. Why should I sign up for this course?

I always like to look at the accomplishments of a person before I decide whether to take on the person’s advice. So for example, if someone is giving me weight loss advice but does not have a healthy physique, it suggests that the person is probably still missing the full picture on being healthy and hence does not have the information I’m looking for.

In the area of blogging, there are indeed many bloggers out there dispensing free information on blogging. I’ve no doubt their opinions have merit. However, if I want to learn blogging in the fastest way, I would much rather learn from someone who has already “made it” or has achieved significant blogging milestones which I want to achieve for myself. This person’s opinion would have the most credibility because he/she has walked the path and accomplished the result, and hence know what it takes to get there.

It’s much like why national teams would spend so much money hiring top-level coaches (even some flown in from other countries) to coach the players rather than engage any sports coach.

In taking this course, you get direct, point-by-point insights on how to create a million-pageview per month blog, all packed in an easy-to-digest six-module course. These are insights you will not get even from plowing through 1,000 sites on blogging, because not everyone has accomplished that milestone and can claim to know how to get there.

How To Register For Your Ticket

The course itself is only $297 for six full weeks of blogging knowledge and insights.

Update December 15, ’12: Our class is now FULL and sign ups are now officially closed. Thanks everyone for the fervent interest!! :D

Update March ’13: The product version of this course, Blogging Success Program, is now out! :) Read more about it here: Blogging Success Program

Any Questions?

If you have any questions, post them in the comments section! I’ll be happy to address any queries you have.

Important: Hey everyone, it appears I got the day/timings wrong on the course schedule. For the timings in the western countries, it should be one hour further behind as I did not factor in daylight savings. Also, it should be Saturday, not Sunday.

Please find the corrected day/timings in the post. Please also double check the day/timings according to your timezone – the course will definitely be held 9:30pm to 11:30pm on Saturday, Singapore time; so cross check that with your own time zone and let me know if there are any discrepancies with the timings listed in the post.

Sorry about the mistake. Thanks Matt for highlighting it!

  • http://www.mywanderingstory.com Christine

    Hey, Celes!

    How are you?

Are you going to deliver the same material as in the previous blogging bootcamp you did 1-2 yrs ago? :-)

    Cheers,

    Christine

    • http://personalexcellence.co Celes

Hey Christine! I’ve already addressed this in the post above. Refer to the section titled “Past BIB Members (from 2011)”.

For those of you who took the Blogging Intensive Bootcamp (BIB) last year March (2011), you will get an additional 30% off! This course will have certain degrees of overlap with BIB but there will definitely be new things to learn and new things to apply in building your blog. Not only that, it is a great way to refresh the important principles you learned before but forgot/have not been applying!

Simply post your receipt number and first five letters of your Paypal email in the comments section and I’ll email you directly for your exclusive, additional 30% discount offer (on top of the launch/early bird discount)!

The blogging bootcamp was a 28-day step-by-step course where I covered sectional topics on blogging. This one will be a six-week/module course (video, webinar-style) focused on specific things I did to grow to a one million-pageview/month blog today. IMO, there is definitely enough new content and strategies covered which warrant taking this course even if you have taken the previous one before. The additional 30% discount I have provided has already accounted for the areas of overlap in the material.

(FYI, I see both courses as completely different courses. I’m designing this course from scratch as a standalone six-module course and I’m actually not reusing any of the material from the last blogging bootcamp.)

Not only that, I think it’s a great way to refresh on the things which were taught in the previous bootcamp but which might not have been reinforced 100% yet. I’ll be using some participants’ blogs as case study examples to illustrate some of the principles during the course. The webinar, video/presentation format now allows for new things which the previous blogging course didn’t (which was conducted over the forums in text).

Hope this answers your questions and let me know if you have any other queries!

(PS: I’m doing great, hope you are too!! Just received a conference invite from Rejoy just a month ago!)

        Hey Celes,

Thanks for the reply and sorry for not reading the above post thoroughly.. I was just skimming this post when I saw the title that you are conducting this blogging bootcamp and thought of dropping you a line.

I am doing great by the way and just pretty busy being a mother now. hehe…

Hope you can meet Rejoy again!

        Merry Christmas in advance!

        Cheers,

        Christine

        • http://personalexcellence.co Celes

Hi Christine, no no, it’s no worries at all! It’s great to hear that you are busy being a mother now. SO much has changed since you last took the bootcamp in March 2011, huh??

I’m so happy for you and hope we will get to meet soon when you drop by Singapore. In the meantime, much hugs and love to you!

  • Marsha

Oh no! I’ve been waiting for this to come out and have been so excited about it, and now it’s out but I am completely broke from Christmas shopping :( I can’t believe I have to pass on it, but this is the one time if year I can’t spend this much money. I hope hope hope there will be some way to get this next month :( :( :( Dang!!!

    • http://personalexcellence.co Celes

Hey Marsha! :) If you are keen to get this program, I can set up an installment plan option for you at the same price. But this is only for those who are really unable to make the payment right away. Let me know if you are keen! I really doubt I’ll be running another blogging course again after this run.

      • http://likeimdying.blogspot.com Marsha Roberts

How much would it be and when would i need to make the first payment? I am VERY interested in this course!

        • http://personalexcellence.co Celes

Hi Marsha! Drop me a mail at [removed] and I’ll customize an arrangement for you! xx

      • geppina

        Celes

I have been reading all of your emails which I never read emails ever that I subscribe to thank you for all the actually amazing information. I own a massage practice and am working on developing an essential oils business. I want my blog to bring in traffic for sales and for exposure of my business. Will this be usefull?

If so I am interested. Can I do the installments for the duration of the week and pay per week?

I really want to do this course.

        Thank you

        Blessings

        Geppina :(

        • http://personalexcellence.co Celes

Hi Geppina! As long as you want to build traffic for your blog and learn the fundamentals of what it takes to create a top blog, this course would be for you. It will help people who are setting up / running a blog as a platform to drive awareness for their business (kinda like how I’m using PE as a core platform for my own business) and/or people who are pursuing blogging as a hobby potentially to convert into their full-time career in the long run.

Regarding installments, can you drop me a mail at orders@personalexcellence.co right away to get the ball rolling on this front? Thanks!

  • http://www.CoachingWithChristina.com Christina

    Hey Celes!

I’m really interested in signing up for your course! I can’t find my receipt for the first blogging course I did with you–would I still be able to get the discount? Also, is this a teleseminar format course where we will be calling in? Sounds like some exciting new information! :)

    ~Christina

    • http://personalexcellence.co Celes

Hey Christina, yes, you would be – I definitely remember you took the BIB course so I’ll be happy to extend the discount to you. :D Just drop me a mail at [removed] and I’ll send you the code!

It will be a webinar, live format course, where all of you will log into a designated meeting URL and I’ll be presenting the module in a powerpoint format. All of you will be able to chat with each other in text chat during the webinar itself. And yes, it will definitely be very fun! Participants of previous webinars (passive income course, emotional eating course, the self-esteem webinar) can all attest to that! The energy is always incredible!

      • http://www.CoachingWithChristina.com Christina

        Hey Celes,

Thank you for clarifying! I’ve gone ahead and signed up, but I’m still confused about a few things. First, I clicked the test link and got sent to an error page saying that I’m unauthorized to view the information. I was able to get to the test page via a Google search and was told I needed to download Java. So I did that, but I’m still not able to use the link in the email. I’m hoping this won’t be a problem.

Also, since you provide a call in # with pin code, are we calling in on a phone too or just clicking the link to go to AnyMeeting?

        Looking forward to it!

        ~Christina

        • http://personalexcellence.co Celes

Hey Christina! Where did you see the call in # with pin code? I have not provided it anywhere in the confirmation email receipt. Whatever the call in # is or wherever you saw it (if AnyMeeting had provided it), don’t use it.

The first link in your confirmation payment receipt should bring you to AnyMeeting to register for the six modules, complete with a registration form asking you for information about your blog and all. You should access the weekly live sessions via the hyperlinks provided by AnyMeeting after completing the registration.

The link to the test page is indeed broken as you said. My apologies. It should be: http://www.anymeeting.com/webconference/systemtest/AnyMeetingSystemTest.aspx.

The entire course will be conducted online with both video (powerpoint slides) and audio. It’s not a teleconference/teleseminar but a webinar (complete with participant online chat), and this is why I will not be accepting any call-ins. Let me know if you have any questions!

          • http://www.CoachingWithChristina.com Christina

            Hi Celes,

Thank you so much for clarifying everything! The call in # with the pin code was provided in an email from AnyMeeting for the registration confirmation. This is what it looked like:

Blogging Bootcamp: How To Create a Million-Pageview/Month Blog
This meeting recurs every 1 week(s) on Saturday from 9:30 PM to 11:30 PM (UTC+08:00) Kuala Lumpur, Singapore starting on 12/15/2012 and ending on 1/26/2013 (Add to Calendar)

            [Removed]

Thank you so much for explaining more about the format and letting me know about the link. The new link definitely works and everything checks out fine.

So excited to get started! :)

            ~Christina

            • http://personalexcellence.co Celes

Hi Christina, got it! I’ve removed the information from your comment as it’s private only for the registrants. Simply ignore the part with the call-in number and log onto the sessions via the hyperlink provided instead (I believe it should be provided in the registration email, right?). Let me know if it’s not inside.

I’m excited to get started with you for the first session too! :D

              • http://www.CoachingWithChristina.com Christina

                Hi Celes,

Yes I did see the hyperlink to the AnyMeeting sessions. I’m ready to go!

                ~Christina

  • Mal

I can’t do any Saturdays, becuase of work. I’d be really interested in this program but won’t be able to attend any of them giving the time/days are right in the middle of my work day. Do you think it’s still worth signing up and paying for if I’m getting only the recording the day after and not any of the actual involvement? I know from previous programs with you the video after is extremely useful and still valuable (along with the slides) so I have no issues signing up again if you don’t feel this one needs a lot of actual involvement/participation to be useful.

    • http://personalexcellence.co Celes

Hi Mal! Sorry to hear that you can’t do Saturdays due to work. If there are sufficient readers who share similar feedback, I might consider shifting the sessions to Sunday. For now I’ll leave them as Saturday first.

Regarding value, I don’t foresee significant difference in value. The value comes from the strategies and content which I’ll be presenting and which anyone will get regardless of whether they are attending live or as watching as a recording. During selected weeks, I’ll also be picking a small handful of blogs for critique (in relation to the week’s topic), so if you already have a blog, you are given the option to share the URL in the registration form for the webinar, after which I may select it for critique during the course itself. Whether it’s your blog being critiqued or not, all participants will get value from listening to the review.

The style and format will be similar to previous courses (P.I. course and self-esteem webinar) with 80% of the time being me talking and 20% being participant sharing, which everyone benefits from anyway (be it the participant who is sharing or participant who is listening). So if you have been in previous programs before and found the standalone recordings helpful, then this wouldn’t be any different and you can expect the same experience/takeaways too.

I think what will further help is you can send me any questions you might have before the module (based on the topic for that week) and I will make sure to address them by way of the material. If you have further questions after each module or about any of the exercises, you can also let me know via email and I’ll be happy to address them.

I hope that helps, Mal! Let me know if you still have any concerns or if there is any area you would like clarification on!

Awesome!! Look forward to connecting with you in the first module Tina! :D Be sure to register for the webinar sessions via the registration link in the confirmation receipt if you haven’t!

  • Antonia

    Celes

Signed up for this webinar! I have not started any blog, but this bootcamp will definitely help me in gaining perspective in starting one. Although technically I may need help by outsourcing. I am very IT challenged.

    • http://personalexcellence.co Celes

Hi Antonia, thanks for signing up for the course! You will definitely find this course beneficial. :D Outsourcing won’t be covered in this course but feel free to drop me a note if you have queries about it. I highly recommend you to check out my article on outsourcing if you haven’t – it’s my one-stop guide to outsourcing and how I go about doing it: http://personalexcellence.co/blog/outsourcing/

    Hi Celes

I’m really interested with this course, but I dont have any paypal account,, is there another way to joint ??

    • http://personalexcellence.co Celes

Hey Robi! :) You can pay with a credit card via the link above. It allows for both Paypal and credit card payments. Let me know if you run into any issues registering!

  • Thomas

    Hi Celes,

    1) I missed your passive income course as I hadn’t found your blog yet. Will you be repeating it or offering it as a program like you do with 30DLBL?
    2) Is your blogging course for beginners (like me) who have never blogged before but know we will need to in the future or is it for active bloggers?

    Thanks & kind regards,
    Thomas

    • http://personalexcellence.co Celes

      Hi Thomas!

On the blogging course, it’ll be for both people who are starting out and who have their blogs already. I’ll be teaching principles and strategies and these will be applicable for anyone who wants to take his/her blog to success.

On passive income course, that’s the unfortunate part – I do not know if I’ll be offering it again, and even if I do, it will not be anytime soon. This is why I would highly recommend that you go for the blogging course if you are genuinely interested. Just like the PI course, I highly doubt I’ll be conducting it ever again or anytime soon because PI and blogging simply are not core subsets of personal development, and not the areas I want to focus on. (Spending time on developing the products and courses is time spent that can be used on other areas for PE.)

      Hope this helps!

      • Thomas

        Hi Celes,

I’m trying to register for this course but I’m having difficulty using my PayPal account and the order form doesn’t actually give any option for using my credit card directly. Please help!!

        • http://personalexcellence.co Celes

Hey Thomas! When at the shopping cart, simply click the check out with PayPal button. Then, it should give you the option to pay by credit card. Let me know if it still doesn’t work!

  • Jennifer

    Dear Celes

I am from Canada and I would like to sign up for this webinar. Do you have an installment plan in place? With the Christmas season my budget is a bit tight to pay for the full amount

    Thanks!!

    Jennifer

    • http://personalexcellence.co Celes

Hey Jen! Drop me a mail as soon as you can at [removed] and we’ll take it from there!

  • Dee

I’d like to purchase 2 spots, 1 as a gift, but both for different emails addys. How do I do that?

    • http://personalexcellence.co Celes

Hi! Simply make payment for one spot first, then make a separate, second payment for the second spot. You can then forward the second ticket to the person whom you want to invite for the course so he/she can register via the registration link. Hope that helps!

      • Dee

        Thank you Celes!

        • http://personalexcellence.co Celes

Hi Dee! I think I have received your first registration (under the name of Debbie, is that right?). Just want to check that you have *not* registered the second seat? As I have not seen any second registration come in from you. Let me know if you have any more questions or need any help in that department! Thanks! :D

          • Dee

Celes – Thank you. My person chose another gift. However, I noticed a change from Sunday to Sat- I read through briefly and am getting ready to head out to work again- that could be an issue as I work every Sat am.

I’ve not taken previous PE classes. Are we able to download the transcripts- hear/see the video? How does that work? I’m on CST.

Oh- also, was I suppose to receive a registration of sorts? Because I hadn’t- just the PayPal confirmation. Want to make sure I wasn’t missing something else.

            • http://personalexcellence.co Celes

Hi Dee! Actually it was always Saturday – it was more that the days listed were wrong as I had mentioned in this comment. I had corrected it thanks to one of the participants alerting me about it.

Don’t worry if you are not able to attend the class. There will be recordings provided and available for viewing up to a week after each session ends. The recording will be in video format. I’ll also be sending the slides (pdf format) across. The recording will be viewable online but will not be downloadable for copyright reasons.

You should have received an email a confirmation receipt (other than the Paypal confirmation) with instructions on what to do next. Can you check your spam folder to ensure it did not get filtered there? (Otherwise even if I were to send a new confirmation receipt, it will just end up there anyway.) Also try doing a search for “blogging bootcamp” in your mailbox to see what mail comes up.

              • Joi

                Celes:
I’m so excited to be a part of the bootcamp and have always admired your work! Starting a blog has been a personal goal for a very long time; seeing what you have done has been great inspiration. Thank you for sharing your expertise!

As a visual learner- I was wondering if there will be a downloadable guide for us to use alongside the workshop? I worry one week will not be enough time during this holiday season for me to review and take all the notes I need to fully absorb all I need to be able to referr to later, when I will actually have time to work on this project. Of course- not having taken one of your courses- I could be completely wrong- I’m just concerned-
I may be doing more note taking than active listening.

                • http://personalexcellence.co Celes

Hi Joi! Yes, the slides will be made available after each session. They will be available in .pdf format so they will be compatible for viewing as long as you have an Acrobat Reader.

I hope that answers your question! I’m excited to have you aboard and can’t wait till we get started! :D Do fill in the registration form if you haven’t (the link is inside the confirmation receipt).

  • Dawn Hays

Can i download the material to my computer via video, pdf as i dont have a blog yet but have wanted this class so much for years… december is just too busy for me… if i can download material, then it might be worth it…. i still have to start a blog which isnt in the lesson…let me know what materials, deadline for this on downloading lessons and all of that if it starts in dec/jan…. very interested.. too busy with holidays to learn this… very excited you are doing this!

    • http://personalexcellence.co Celes

Hey Dawn! For copyright reasons, I intend for the recordings to be viewable for only a week or up until the next session (for example, the second session has a two weeks gap till the third session so that would be viewable for two weeks). If you’re interested, do register asap as there are limited seats left. Let me know if you have any more questions!

      • Dawn Hays

Hi Celes, my computer doesnt recognize powerpoint but if you are doing this video format then you are just demonstrating with powerpoint on your end.. i dont have to have powerpoint to view right? i have to leave to an appt but will be back by lunch.. i hope there is an available spot left open for me… if this question and answer here works out, then its a go for me.. i’ll check back!

        • http://personalexcellence.co Celes

Hi Dawn, nope you wouldn’t need PowerPoint to view. :) As long as you have a video player (everyone has a video player these days), you would be able to view. After each session, I’ll also be sharing the slides for that session in .pdf format which everyone is able to read as long as they have Adobe Acrobat Reader. Let me know if you have any other questions! :)

          • Dawn Hays

o;k.. this sounds great. pdf or something to have if not video or it takes up too much room to download on my computer, then pdf will work.. just something to refer back on… i think i am about to sign up..i dont know how much i can particpate live, but your info is essential to my growing so i’m diving in

          • Dawn Hays

o;k .. for a second time it sent me the time zone of singapore from 9:30 pm.. i went in and changed my time to CST.. can you help me resolve this or am i doing something wrong? i dont understand.. will check back.. thanks….

            • http://personalexcellence.co Celes

Hey Dawn, you’ve posted quite a few comments (7!!!) which were about the same questions and cluttered up the page. I’ve deleted all the comments and will be addressing your enquiries here. Hope you can understand! Also it’d really help to consolidate all your questions in 1 post rather than post multiple ones as it can get very confusing and make it difficult for me to be of help to you!

              My responses:
              1. The time zone information is something you input on your end with AnyMeeting. This isn’t something I can change or control.

              2. It does’t matter what time zone it is showing in your email, whether it is Singapore time or CST. The basic point is that the meeting will definitely start at 9:30pm to 11:30pm every Saturday Singapore time (according to the course dates schedule reflected in this main post above; please scroll up and refer to them), which is 7:30am to 9:30am Saturday CST, except for Dec 29 where there is no session as it is a holiday weekend. (You can also double check the CST time on your end to ensure Singapore 9:30pm Saturday is indeed CST 7:30am Saturday.)

As long as you note that in your own personal calendar, and log into the meeting link that has been provided to you in your email, it will be fine. Since you have also mentioned yourself that you doubt you’ll be attending the sessions themselves, I’m not too sure why you are particularly concerned with the time zone? If you can clarify that that would help too.

              3. All the instructions to retrieve each week’s material will be sent via email to all the participants every week AFTER each session. The main thing you had to do after making payment was to register for the six webinar sessions online and you have already done this, so effectively there isn’t anything else for you to do now except to turn up for the first session (or if you can’t turn up live, then simply wait for the followup session details to be sent after the session itself is over this Saturday).

If you have any other questions, let me know. Thanks! :) Welcome aboard to the blogging bootcamp Dawn!

              • Dawn Hays

                Hi Celes,
I am sorry for all the comments.. i panicked as it was a last minute decision and wasnt sure how it worked.. i will be making some of the webinars live and some not.. i understand exactly what you are saying now..

I have a very tight schedule so if i am 20 minutes late on a scheduled live webinar, is it best that i wait for the email link for the recorded one.. (i do understand not to get on late and start asking “what did i miss”.. no disruptions.. just wanted to know if i should wait if i run late on a live one and just get the pdf and recorded one..
.. i didnt mean that i couldnt make all of them.. i am super excited .. thanks for your help.. this was a very last minute decision during a busy time and i want to make sure i understand it all previously to the course.. sorry for the panick! .. thanks again! :) :)

                • http://personalexcellence.co Celes

Hi Dawn! It’s fine to enter the meeting room late, as long as there is minimal disruptions (i.e. exactly what you said about not asking “what did I miss”). So as long as late participants don’t do that, it’s okay to enter the meeting late (if due to unavoidable circumstances) and to leave early (if necessary). It’s also okay to attend some live and some not.

Hope I answered your question, and thanks for registering for the course! Let me know if you have any more questions. It’ll be an exciting first module! :D

  • Nazila Aghabeikpour

    Hello Celes,

It’s really strange, I tried 2 times to enrol in the course using the link provided below ( to use the early bird discount), but don’t know if my payment finished successfully. I don’t have a pay pal account, so tried to pay using my credit card. First I used Visa card, then Master debit card. But after confirming the payment, I did not get a confirmation message or email.

I really like to sit for this course and use the early bird discount, could you please check whether I have secured my place?

My official name is: Nazila Aghabeikpour.

    Thank you so much.

    Best regards,
    Nazila

    • http://personalexcellence.co Celes

Hey Nazila! I didn’t receive any payment or registration from you. Can you please try it again? To know if your payment went through successfully, you should have a receipt, which you didn’t. I think something might have went wrong during the purchase?

Click on the link above on the page that leads to e-junkie – During checkout you should see that it’s $207.90 for the blogging bootcamp. Let me know if you still face any issues and I look forward to receiving your registration!

    • http://personalexcellence.co Celes

Got your registration Nazila. Welcome aboard! :)

  • monique

    Hi Celes,

I’ve signed up! I’ll be only listening to the recorded sessions as there are in the middle of the night for me – Sydney time – so do I need the system requirements for the live sessions? My computer doesn’t meet the necessary requirements….but perhaps it doesn’t matter if I’m only listening to the recorded version?

    cheers

    monique

    • http://personalexcellence.co Celes

Hey Monique! Yep you are right that it doesn’t matter that you don’t meet the system requirements if you are not attending live. Welcome aboard!! :D (You still need to register via the registration form link provided in the confirmation receipt though. It’s just for protocol purposes and for me to understand your blogging background and needs. Let me know if you didn’t get that.)

  • Monique

    Hi Celes,

Also, I won’t be able to access the 22nd Saturday course as I’ll be on a farm for ten days. The owner (my friend’s mum) is eighty yrs old and has no Internet access. The nearest town is small and has no Internet cafes either
So can an alternative arrangement be made?
    Cheers

    Monique

    • http://personalexcellence.co Celes

Hi Monique! That would be fine. When are you going and returning from the farm visit?

      • Monique

        Hi Celes,

I had registered.( got a confirmation email) So I did it again after your comment Then had a little trouble with processing so now I have 3 emails in myinbox saying I’ve registered so u may want to delete something from yr end. : )

I’ll be away from the 21st dec until 31st dec on the farm – looking forward to some nature!
        Cheers

        Monique

        • http://personalexcellence.co Celes

Hey Monique, that wouldn’t be an issue then. Since there is no session for the last weekend of the year (I want everyone to enjoy their vaca as I’ve shared in the post above), I’ll be having the recording for the second module available for two weeks, up until the third session itself. So all is good.

Enjoy your farm trip from 21st to 31st Dec, and let me know if you have any questions about each module after it’s aired! :)

  • Bette

    So hi there Celes!

JUST discovered this opportunity and I am very interested in this blogging course!

Some concerns…I am traveling this weekend, and I am uncertain as to when the laptop will be up and running and how well it will be running in the week following. I recall with the last webinar course I took with you, I had to have a certain speed or something to be able to tune in. Anyway, those are my logistic concerns. I KNOW I would benefit from the knowledge and experience you have about blogging. I have been wanting to try my hand at blogging and see if it is a good fit for me, and you are certain to deliver the goods with this topic I’m sure! Also, as you know, I have almost zero technical skill with computers, so I am concerned I would have all this knowledge from you, and then be so techno-challenged that I wouldn’t be able to get my content into the blog!

So those are my concerns, Celes…I wish sometimes that I could just read a book about this topic, but I know the topic presented “LIVE” has its definite pluses. There is SO much happening this month, it’s hard to commit before after Christmas, but I would give it my best shot, depending on the logistics (having the right connection and being able to tune in) flowing with ease and grace, that is.

I get nervous when there is just so little time to make a decision and get on board, especially when I am getting ready for a big transition (moving to Puerto Rico for the winter), and busy with the Holidays activity as well. Also, like others, funds have been mostly allocated to gifts and holiday-oriented matters. And then there is traveling on the top of that. Still, I AM interested in your course and writing this comment in hopes of arriving at a wise decision in a timely manner.

Even though Blogging and Passive Income are not like 30BBM and 30DLBL, knowing how to do the passive income and how to blog are ways we can express living our best life with excellence, if we so choose, and if we know how, so offering courses like those seems to me to be very beneficial and right in line wrth PE as a regular offering. Depending on your schedule and availability of course… Just my humble opinion…

I welcome any and all thoughts you have on any of the above, Celes. I wouldn’t want to miss a great opportunity on topics I am so interested in, nor would I want to sign up for something when it may not be the best timing, and my attention may be compromised.

Thank you for all the material on PE that includes thought-provoking questions and topics. You present to us
rich inquiry that allows us to go as deep as we are able to go, and we grow to ever greater heights. :D

    • http://personalexcellence.co Celes

Hi Bette! Thanks for your interest in this course! :D Regarding getting the laptop up and running, let me know (via orders@personalexcellence.co) if there is any case where you can’t view a particular in time. I can extend the viewing time for you then, not a problem at all.

I understand regarding the funding situation – let me know if you need a separate installment plan arranged. I can do it as a one-off only scenario for you.

Let me know what you eventually decide and if you have anymore questions! I think it’d be great fun to have you aboard. You are always such a joy to have around during such live courses/challenges and if you are interested to explore blogging, then this course is definitely one you should take.

      • Bette

        I am still interested Celes..
I cannot attend this coming Saturday, (traveling) nor do I know how well the laptop will run, but I am interested in this course. .And yes, a separate installment plan would be helpful.
Thank you for your note, your encouragement, and your support. :D

        • http://personalexcellence.co Celes

Hey Bette, thanks for your response! :D Let’s set this up over email – I’ll drop you a mail at this same email you are posting this comment from.

  • http://www.frining.com Nic

Hey Celes – would love to do this BUT I live in Australia so the training times mean that I will be sitting there till 2.30am which means I won’t be able to attend ANY of the sessions. Any chance of accomodating the Australia time zone with a separate course?

    • http://personalexcellence.co Celes

Hey Nic, there are readers from all around the world and unfortunately this is the best timing I could pick given the audience demographics. I apologize for the inconvenience.

For the purpose of those who can’t make it for the sessions due to timezone differences or other reasons, there are the recordings which are available for viewing up to a week from the date of module itself. You can view them an unlimited times during the week. The value difference from watching the recording and attending the course is minimal and I have had many participants take past courses without attending any of the sessions (instead opting to watch the videos instead) and they have gained tremendously all the same. There is also an Australian participant for this blogging course (refer to Monique’s comments on this page) and she is also opting to view all the modules through the recordings rather than attend live.

Also, if you have any questions at all about the material, you are always free to contact me directly via my orders email (the email where the confirmation receipt will be sent from). I’ve always answered all my course participants’ queries in a very prompt manner for all past courses and they can attest to the value and customer support they have received.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

    • Monique

      Hi nic,

It’s Monique from Sydney…. We cld swop numbers if u want to talk about the course as it progresses. I’ll be listening to recordings during the week……

      Cheers

      Monique

      • http://personalexcellence.co Celes

That would really be awesome if you guys were to do that actually! :D Let me know how it works out eventually if you do proceed with this arrangement! A buddy system is always good for courses, provided both buddies are committed individuals themselves (which both of you have to be if you are reading PE!).

        • Monique

          Hi celes,

Yep, I’m def keen to do a buddy system if there is anyone else from Australia who signs up. It’ll help with motivation and being part of all those blogging – soon to be dynamos – will be cool. : ))

  • Alyssa Choong

    Hi Celes,

I’ve received your email and also a confirmation from PayPal. So i think the earlier message from Paypal page was nothing. Since bank also confirm with me already. Anyway thanks for the fast respond over at FB. I’ll wait until i reach home before i digest your email. back to work first. bye!

    • http://personalexcellence.co Celes

No problem Alyssa and I’m glad it has been resolved! :)

  • Gavin

Hi celest, I signed up for your course. But I will be overseas tmrr, so will miss the first lesson. Look forward to watching the first recording!

    • http://personalexcellence.co Celes

Sounds good Gavin! Thanks for informing me and look forward to having you live for the second session! :) The first recording (and slides) will be sent out 24 hours after the first session is over!

  • Gaby

    Hi Celes

I am very happy that I registered and paid for the blogging bootcamp. I was not able to attend yesterday and thought that you will send an email with the recording and some pdf files.

Unfortunately, I did not received anything. Can you please check, as I would love to listen to the recording as soon as possible.

    Wish you an amazing day.
    best regards
    GABY

    • http://personalexcellence.co Celes

Hey Gaby! Just want to let you know that I have sent through the email with the recording link and materials right after I received your comment on Dec 17. Can you let me know if you have received them fine? Thanks.
