What is this?

Started since Jun ’10, this is a place where you can get free hugs whenever you want to. Simply post a comment and I will reply and hug you back, rain or shine.

Why did you create up?

We need more love in this world. This is a great way to share love with one another.

To be honest, I was surfing for images for one of my new blog posts and I came across the image above. That was when the idea took seed in my mind. I’ve never seen or known anything like a free hugs avenue online (there’s been a free hugs campaign offline and I absolutely love it), so I thought – hey, why not start a page where everyone can get hugs whenever and wherever they want? After all, there should never be a prerequisite to get hugs and I feel the world is in need of more love. Plus, there can never be too much love going around.

Is there a limit to how many hugs I can claim?

Nope. You can get as many hugs as you want all year round. Of course, don’t end up spamming more than 1 comment each time! As a general principle, keeping to one comment a day will be good.

Bookmark this page too. Whenever you feel down, you feel like you need a hug, or you simply feel happy and you want to hug someone else, simply drop a comment. I’m going to write at this blog till I die (which I don’t foresee to be anytime soon), so that’s many decades of free hugs to come

So how do I get my free hug?

As mentioned above, simply post a comment asking for your hug and I will reply and hug you back, rain or shine. You can read through the comments below to see the past readers who have claimed their hugs.

Can I hug other readers?

Of course! Feel free to reply to other readers and hug them too! Just don’t terrorize them yeah?
